I Love My Earrings

I'm a jean & t-shirt girl, don't wear much make-up or jewelry but I must have my earrings.  Without them I feel naked.  I love long dangling earrings, hoops of all sizes and small studs.

My mother made me wait until I was 16 to get my ears pierced.  Then she had my sister do it.  Why she thought she was capable I have no idea.  Of course it was also free, I'm sure that may have had something to do with it.  Not only did I end up with infected holes in my lobes, they were also lop sided, not even close to being even.  I always knew my sister hated me.  A few years ago I got a second piercing in each ear.  My daughter was so embarrassed, she has such a crazy mom.  I had it done at the mall.  Yes, I paid for it but I did not get any infection this time.  Unfortunately, the holes still don't match up.  The lady was trying to match it up to the original piercing...and well, that was a lost cause.  If I hold my head at just the right angle you don't notice it so much.

I love my long dangly earrings.  Either plain silver or wires with fake gemstones entwined into some cool design.  I actually hate shopping, except for earrings.  I'm a sale & clearance kinda shopper.  I find some of the most unique earrings that way.  The ones others may not see the true beauty in, those are the ones I want.  And gemstones are always nice.  A nice pair of sapphire studs.  I think I'll put those on my X-mas list.

(The logo pic is Shakira, she's hot.  Me, not so much, but I do love her taste in earrings.)

Well, actually I forget to hold that angle so I'm sure I just walk around uneven all day. ; )<br />
I wish I was talented enough to make my own jewelry. I think that's really cool. : )

I love that you have to hold your head a certain way so your earrings will be even. LOL I'm glad I don't have that problem. I got mine done at a jeweler. I like the long unique ones you find at the sale and clearance too. Though I rarely buy earrings anymore, I rather make my own.
