I also find myself becoming an emotional sponge. I think it is part of being compassionate. It can be a curse if not controlled. The important thing to remember is to not allow other people contaminate your emotional well being and constantly analyze why you feel the way you do. So many times, I realized that the frustration I was feeling was not even mine. Be true to what you can and cannot control and remember you have a choice to be happy.

To Maisie and Autimom, who were both so kind as to comment, thanks again. Only you two know what I was going through that day. You both listened, then were the friends I needed them most. I will always be in your debt.

Yes, Pettipants, coworkers can be the source of many troubles. As often as I can, I try to let that ride go on. Coincidentally enough, the problems Maisie and Autimom helped me with that day were somewhat work-related.
