Yes i started this recently when i realised the reality of life to live and die, recently everything has started to take on a dream like quality as though nothing exists and everything is fake as well

I had a very similar occurrence happen to me recently, a complete epiphany on my part. Glad to see a someone else had an experience akin to myself. Stupidly thought it was just me who discovered it fortuitously

Thanks for your heartfelt message about your enlightenment. What a great poem. Now I want to see more of Houseman's poetry. I think we read some of it in high school in the 1950s.

We are raised to expect "rules" - the "Laws" in Houseman's poem. Truth is, all rules are vain attempts to control the unfolding of existence, to create some sense of assurance that we have bought insurance against the seemingly random, arbitrary happenings that occur every day.

Most of our lives flow along for most of our hours within a very narrow "normal" range. That gives us the impression that the "Laws" must work. But, then there are those times when life seems to rear up and slap us for no reason.

Truth is, "No Reason" was the answer all along.
