To This Life - With No WingsThis life that is never the same
When I stop trying to hold it tight
When I stop trying to minimize my mistakes
The rip of the cord when it hit backs and cracks
I hold on tight and be in the motion
To give the one I hurt my tears
To hold them so tight
My intention was not to hurt them
But I have then what?......
How do I reconcile that I am still loved
That this human experience has
In the pain I have caused I grow with the ground of being
To be cantered despite the rapture of disruption in my wake
Do I hang my head in shame?
Do I hang by my mistakes?
Then to wash all the accomplishments
By this one mistake
My master the one who knows us all
Was here in many lifetimes
He returned in accomplishment
To show us the way to walk up the ladder
To be a light unto our one self
I can only hold your hand
I can share my human mistakes
I have to face my accuser
I have to own up in my human disgrace
Yet in all of this confusion
At the core, at the centre
Is the heart of our creator
I am still loved by my creator
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light: as when the eye is free from vicious humours, and its sight is clear, the whole body reaps the advantage of it, and is perfectly illuminated by it; so when the eye of the understanding is opened and enlightened by the Spirit of God, into the truths of the Gospel, and a single regard is had unto them, and to the glory of Christ in them, the whole soul is filled with light, joy, and comfort:
Single – balanced in yin/yang no matter the hurt slung at one, one will be centered and give back love for hate.
Life with No Wings - but filled with Light
