The Lullaby...

"People may hate you for being different and not living by society's standards, but deep down, they wish they had the courage to do the same."

I am old. Yet, I am young.  I am ageless.  I am a sophomore in high school, yet I have an intellect that can rival any of that of an older person.  Something which I pride myself in.  But, that is an argument for another time.  Pride.

I've been using this site for almost two years now, though it might have been longer...If you new members must know my story, here is the link.

I know who I am, but my thoughts will change with time.  Nothing is set in stone really.

My soul has been around for a very long time.  Since before the great war, which I remember in some detail.  I remember few lifetimes between then and now.  I was young when the war happened, not quite a child, but not quite an adult either.  Much like I am now.

I remember my Twin Flame.  He is very dear to me, and I to him.  I remember a lullaby he used to sing to me.  A short, repetitive tune with such simple words, but I love it.

The birds!  The birds
Flying through the trees
In the dead of night
To sing for you and me

The stars!  The stars!
Shining nice and bright
In the dead of night
To guide us with light

The trees!  The trees!
Murmuring a woe
In the dead of night
To the creatures below

The wind!  The wind!
Running 'cross the land
In the dead of night
Towards a merry band of man

The stream!  The stream!
Dancing without strife
In the dead of night
To provide us with life

The moon!  The moon!
Smiling upon man
In the dead of night
Seeing what it can

A song!  A song!
A melody to keep
Sung in the dead of night
For you to fall asleep

A simple song, but it's so dear to me.  Some of my fondest memories include that song.

"Faith is the art of holding on to things in spite of your changing moods and circumstances."
~C.S. Lewis

May you have many roads to travel
