As far back as the third grade I've just kinda been disliked. i've never truly understood why and this may have caused my introvertism.
I am very attractive and very smart. (maybe i was disliked because i was so smart) I always finished my work first and then i would pull out a book. I ususally found myself with one or two friends who dropped me pretty soon. The 5th and 6th grade were pure hell. I was bullied on a daily basis. But ironically, I dated the best looking guy in the school in the 6th grade and even though i was pretty he was ridiculed for liking me.
My mom has no idea about my friendless problem because i didn't want to put the burden on her. Doing this, I learned to hide the emotions that are still ripping my heart apart. now, she knows I am an introvert and she doesn't ask me "what's wrong?" 24/7 anymore.
I believe I became introverted around the 7th grade. I hate it though... I truly believe I'm the lonliest person ever. I don't understand how I love being alone yet despise it so much altogether. i want to have tons of friends but I hate talking to them on the phone.
In the eighth grade people would come and speak to me but I'd hardly say two words back.
Now I guess you could say I live in the future now. I'm always reading or thinking about my "future life", hoping it will be better. I don't have a single friend in the entire world and it hurts... It also hurts that no one knows. My family thinks that i am popular and loved but that's far from the truth.
(I know what i wrote is a bit jumbled but my thoughts are racing so maybe I'll share my story and a different contex)

Posted Nov 24th, 2009 at 1:56PM Hello... I have the same problem. I don't know if we have the same problem for the same reasons, however. I think it would help you to specify exactly why this is happening. Just take some time to ask yourself questions, examine what you do. Ask yourself why you do what you do.. and why other people are the way you are. If you look hard enough, you will figure it out. Once you find out why it happens, then you can decide how to proceed.. I am quite certain I've found out why I have this problem. I now have a bit of a goal for myself, but I can't really achieve it. But it feels better to know.
Posted Dec 9th, 2009 at 5:32PM I went through the same thing in primary school, i was always introverted and only had at most a group of 3 friends. Instead of being smart i was really good at art and drawing so people would sometimes get me to draw them something, i was only known for that. I was shy and quiet and also bullied a lot. It was like that untill 6th grade where i rebelled back at people, many were scared. I would use my drawing talent in evil ways whih i was considered a demon (the teachers exhaggerated this) high school was better, but i was still introverted, but overtime i got less scared of bullies and enemies that i fought back and was considered a hero of the day, despite my introvertism. Now i'm at uni and it's great though i still have my moments of introvertism. But happily it gets better by the sounds of things. i hope you get better. What's best is when you meet other introverts and from small groups, uni filtered most extroverts. Matt
