I went to a restaurant today, and the waitress asks me, "Are you Korean?" I said no. She says, "Oh, because I'm Korean."

A couple things. I go to a restaurant to order food, not discuss where my ancestors came from. As a matter of fact, I don't know where all of my heritage comes from because let's face it, I really don't care. Secondly, I don't care what your (the waitress) ethnicity is. I don't go introducing myself by my ethnicity because I don't think it defines me at all. The city I grew up in, the state I am originally from, those are the things I feel define me.

I feel like I should fake a distinct British accent or something, that way people would focus on that rather than try to figure out what my ethnicity is. I don't even know what it is. All I know is it's a mix of a bunch of different things, and I'm just me.
