Because I Can't Give Anything

I'm ashamed to go to church because I'm unemployed and won't be able to spare anything for the offering plate. FAIL.

One problem that I have been noticing with churches is that fewer people are donating there time to help the church and its programs and they have been resorting to hiring more and more people. I remember when churches only had two or three people on the payroll, but now most of them seem to have a whole staff. I think that volunteering your time to the church would be much more valuable to them over donating money.

See, that's the kind of church-going I would like- no socializing, hugging, church dinners, etc. I just want to go in, listen to the sermon, then leave. I would gladly help out and donate my services to any volunteer work the church did, but I have no money to give, and I have yet to find a church whose congregation doesn't sneer down their noses at me because I'm poor.
