Please Pray To Stop My Aggressive Brother In Law

My brother in law lives near me and my wife he used to hit her when she was in her teens , he is very agressive and always insults me i have tried so many times to uderstand and be kind to him but he doesnt respond i pray for at teh orthodox church i am so afiad he will attack me as he as fits of anger please pray to take him out of our lifes , but not to harm him. i am so afraid and depressed by this situation it is upseting my whole life.
