I like the dark part of the night, after midnight and before four-thirty, when it’s hollow, when ceilings are harder and farther away. Then I can breathe, and can think while others are sleeping, in a way can stop time, can have it so - this has always been my dream - so that while everyone else is frozen, I can work busily about them, doing whatever it is that needs to be done, like the elves who make shoes while the children sleep.”

Wow, you are my soul sister. I am the exact same way! I adore locking myself in my room in the dark, either on the computer listening to music or wishing I could stop time in order to do something over or to do something I've always wanted to do. I love to be alone and think to myself late into the night. I'm not a big fan of social interactions but, It doesn't bother me too much. There's something to be said about being independent.

I, too, love that part of the day. I always felt sleepy during the whole day no matter how much I slept during the night, but at night I always feel so awake and full of energy, for some reason. And then just a while before the sun is about to come up, I start getting sleepy. I never understood why, but I just feel that part of the day more normal.
