A Faerie's Ghost

Faeries are never good at losing anything.
They go frantic. They panic.
The energy level just sky rockets.
Then it plummets down.
And when they hit the ground, it is a strenuous effort to collect oneself,
Dust off the wings...
But only to realize the wings are torn even more.

Faeries fleet from different worlds, seeking adventure, seeking peace, seeking love.
She seeks NeVeRLaND to compose herself having lost a friend recently. She met a chap of sorts, funny and articulate. He helped her get over the loss and move on, carefully giving strength to her torn wings. He had been instrumental in keeping her sanity. He made her see that there is a story far critical than just losing a friend. He helped her write a story of wanting to Change Back EP Link

That was several months ago. Much have transpired since then. With his life and with hers. They went through them, endlessly talking. They were buddies.
Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.
Artemis Fowl and Holly Short.
Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse.
Prospero and Ariel.

Hand in hand they went through those ordeals that neither of them could probably face alone. Standing ground to friendship, they always have the right words to say to each other, to continuously support one another.

Until recently.
When NeVeRLaND met with the WoRLD.
Facing reality do have boundaries.
Was it because the faerie tried too much?
Or was it because she held back?
She can not, for the eternal life of her, understand what went wrong.
But he simply faded.
Was it a lie telling her that their friendship is far more important?
Was it a lie telling her that he does not want to lose her as a friend?

Because if they're not lies, she is sure as hell not relieved.

Did he suddenly grow up?
Funny to realize that the very person who offered this soulful friendship is the very person whose soul she can not see anymore.

She is a mess. She is lost.

The faerie tries to collect her thoughts and move on but little things haunt her. She plays in the backyard and she gets reminded of him. She practices her fleeting movements and it speaks of him, encouraging her to do it. She wakes up in the morning and he needs a faerie buzz to wake him up. When the faerie got inked, he stayed with her the whole time.

Those small details...
A hint...
A shadow...
A ghost...
Just haunting...

And the haunting...
... it does hurt the faerie.

My dearest, Kitti... *holding your hand tightly*... thank you... I think I've said somewhere (I don't remember anymore... haha) that I am acknowledging the hurt... everything makes it real feeling the pain... whatever games were played holds water now... from the faerie's eyes, I see the truth...

*still waiting...*...

Oh sweet faerie , hold on ... the haunting will slowly turn to memories ... there will be a soft shadow always inside you of the friend that faded , but in time it will not hurt you the way it does now .. and yes even in time the tears of remeberance will turn to bittersweet smiles at times gone by , you cannot hide from this pain ...but you do not have to be alone with it either ...*walks at Sylph and holds her hand * ...

*bounces up and down*...I wanna learn how...

*sits to listen to Dean and Des teach faerie how to say magic word*...

Uhm... can I be candid, Des? I never really know how to say f***... don't laugh! I just never learned to say it, that's all... *Sylph covers face*... isn't that just the dorkiest you've ever heard... almost close to nitwit... haha...

Thanks, Soleil... hey, I've missed you! *hugs*... ooops! Gotta be careful in hugging you... haha...

I'll be okay... in two, three, five hundred years... kidding... in time, right?... all in good time...

Ahhhhhhh....that was just hauntingly beautiful Slyph. I feel for you. The highest highs sometimes come with the lowest lows...

You will be fine though,I'm sure...=)

Oh, thanks, Dean... I think...

*catching the vibes from the pirate queen*...

I don't understand the hints... cross signals... making me confused... it's not the silence that bothers me... it's those unfounded gestures and words... sometimes great, sometimes leaving me baffled... and I don't know whether to hold on... or let go... or just let it be...

I am beginning to welcome the hurt, I think I've told you that. It makes everything real... and everything is not just play... but it doesn't mean it makes my heart stop beating. The hurt remains and it stings like hell...

We do teach best what we most need to learn, huh?
*hugs Dean*...

But you are getting absolved from the whacks... something is wrong here... hmm...

Please don't be sorry, Des... I appreciate your words. I know i need to see this from a different angle... the angle is just elusive right now... damn bl<x>inkers...

I like "Silence over months..."... *scratches head*... how can Sylphy be silent???...

Is it, Des?...

The faerie feels the loss deeply... *hugs back*...

Thank you, Sir Dean... *curtsies*... but the only way you can absolve yourself is to forgive yourself... until then, your quest may never end...

Artsy... *hugs back*... thank you... and you are welcome to come back anytime...

Ever, hun... if my friends can feel the pain, then it lessens the faerie's load... but I am sorry if this makes you hurt, too... *hugs*...

No lady???
Now that's sad again... *Sylph checks dating community for Dean*...

Never realized the meaning of chivalry could mean: "with hidden agenda"...

*whacks Dean again*...

Boobie squish???
*whacks Dean*...

*hugs Taken again... boobie-squish*...

LOL, DT... the "idiot" part made me really laugh... you are just the cutest... how do the English do the whacking for idiots?...
It took time to find a group... I know others would get surprised, too... but words do hold different meanings depending on how we use them, no?
*hugs*...

Taken... *hugs back*... yeah, time will help... it was an adventure too good to last forever... sigh... but the haunting... aaarrrgh... *Sylph whacks the air*... they won't go away...

*bear hugs Dean and climb on his horse*... it does get tiring for a faerie doing all these... but shhh... just give me a few breaths and I'll be bouncy again...
And... he was a Pirate... argh!...
