    Russia is a great country, much greater than Great Britain. The UK is a nation that produces nothing, has a 500% debt to GDP ratio (and growing), plays host to a broken society and a group of people who are completely insane.

    Russia is a nation that has overtaken the UK economically, and left it in the dust. Russia has hundreds of billions in surplus funds, buys vast amounts of gold to protect its wealth, has a huge export market for oil, aerospace, industry, crops, etc, and Russian people, who are not insane like the British.

      I too have Russian in me, but I am not sure about Canada. The United States is doing some pretty irresponsible things economically, and is well on track (unless something is changed) for another major economic collapse within 7 - 10 years, as well as a possible collapse of the US dollar. I think the Canadian dollar would suffer just as badly.

      But, on the other hand, Canada has a lot more going for it than the UK. If and when the next economic crisis comes around, the UK will be in serious trouble. Possibly even more so than Canada.

      But honestly, the cold is probably the thing that would keep me from moving to Canada. I like hot weather. Oh well.

      Overall, I think Canada is nice.
