Distant Self

(a poem about bulimia)

She kneels desperately as her troubles are flushed alongside the rumble and thrashing of her soul. Demons intrude pilfering her spirit that beckons to be again. She parts from her fleshly existence into a world of forgiveness while begging, oh my distant self, please come back to me… for I wish to no longer be theirs.
