Attend Mass At More Than One Church

I recommend that all Catholics get into the habit of attending mass at many churches. Do not get stuck in a routine of going to the same old church all of your life.

One day, you will need personal help from your priest and you may have to get a second opinion. You do not want to appear like a stranger when you ask that second ( or third -- or fourth ... ) opinion.

I don't think I agree with this. Being Catholic is about being part of a community. Unlike our fundamentalist brethren, we do not believe that salvation is about a merely personal relationship with Christ. You can't have that relationship outside of a community. Think of Saint Paul...he had accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, but stayed blind and lost till he was united with the Church. Be a visible, active member of your parish first. Then, if you like, go see others.

I think priests can give us spiritual advice, and warm caring thoughts, but not marital advice.
This coming from a "recovering catholic".

Giggling at given.
Do you not think it strange that we would get advice from someone who has never been married? hehe (just a thought)

(your story)

i agree with this

LOL - how many would you suggest? I'm on a budget.
