Final Decision

After vacillating over this for years, I've finally decided that, due to my limited patience and need for more alone time than a child will allow me to have, I am never having children. My freedom means so much more to me than raising up a human being who may or may not be grateful for all of the sacrifices I would have made for him or her over the years. I might end up being the person people might call the "crazy dog lady," but that doesn't bother me. I'd rather take care of two or three dogs than two or three children.

I agree with you absolutely! I like children, for the most part, and I am very good with them when they are around me or under my care. That being said, I've never really had the desire to have any of my own...too awesome of a responsibility I suppose. My husband and I enjoy the freedom between us, together and apart, and that is what is important...just because we are married doensn' t mean that we are obligated to have children! We have a dog, and he fulfills every need that we have in regard to being parents. I don't want to offend anyone who feels otherwise, and I am not comparing children to dogs or other pets.....ummm, I think I'd better stop now before this comment gets out of hand...Ciao:-)
