Compelling Gentiles To Live As Jews Is Wrong

If Paul chided Peter for compelling Gentiles to live as Jews Galatians 2:11-14 knowing that man is not justified by the works of the Law verse 16.

Why do we have those teaching that the fourth commandment is paramount  in direct disobedience to the Gospel of Mark

" The first of all the commandments is..... thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these" Mark 12:29-31

Love thy neighbor as thyself is from Leviticus 19:18 not one of the Ten Commandments, yet elevated to greatness by the One that did not voice opinions, but spoke with authority from His Father.

The Lord Jesus said, if you love me keep My commandments, John 14:15.

The Sabbath rest for believers is in the Lord of the Sabbath, come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and i will give you rest.

    What you say is true, and the main reason that todays Churches have zero influence on society, most Christians are so like the rest of the world in their lifestyles you could not pick them till they speak, today we have generally Pagan Christianity, there are pockets of true believers worldwide known only to our Sovereighn God, the sheep and goats will mingle and the wheat and tares will grow together till the time comes when all wil be revealed, the generations that did have influence on society have died out and my generation will not be around very much longer, those in charge today will take the Church on a path to total destruction.

    Thanks for making your comment, conformity comes with denominationalism, you can misuse the Bible to justify anything, it occurs on a daily basis, i don't consider my beliefs are in any way an effort to " feel good" i had that mindset as an alcoholic many years ago, no man can justify himself with God, you work with Gods ground rules or delude yourself, we can't approach God on our terms sorry to say, but many do. The cross is an open invitation for sinners to repent for starters, and from then drop off all things that offend a Holy God. Anyone that claims to be born again and does not have a different attitude worldliness and Gods standards has missed the point.
