Love And Salvation

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

I think there's a reason why this Bible verse is one of the most well known verses in the world; because it sums up the foundations of the Christian life in just one sentence.
The two foundations are Love and Salvation. It's as simple as that.

Christianity is the only way you can live a full and happy life on earth, and still live a full and happy life well after that.
The two foundations are the two reasons for this.

I can be happy on this earth because of God's love.
I can be happy because He blesses me through His love.
I can be happy because He strengthens me through His love.
I can be happy because even if I make mistakes, He still loves me.
I can be happy because He has given me certain abilities through His love, which I can use to help those around me.
I can be happy because I am saved... And it is from His love that Jesus came onto this earth to save us.

I will not go to hell if I don't follow a set of rules. And I will not go to heaven if I do follow a set of rules.
I will go to heaven if I have been saved by the Lord, and if I therefore love Him and know Him.
And I will go to hell if I haven't been saved, and therefore do not know Him and do not love Him.

Even though I've just written this long story. It essentially comes down to 2 things... Love and Salvation give me life on this earth, and life thereafter. And without Love or Salvation, you can have neither of these things.

Hi SweetLittleMelly , loved the story :-)~

Jesus answered: Amen, amen, I say unto thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)

Awesome thanks for sharing your story !
"For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all." (the prayer of the Apostle Paul for the Ephesian Christians) This is my prayer for you ...

A friend request would be the best form of cure which I can think offff...... Hurryyyyyyyy :D

so we have to remember to talk to Him....
all the best dear. :)

Thank you for sharing this. Though I grew up in the Christian faith and my family was Christian, I strayed from my faith when my family and life fell apart. I began to think to myself what good was it to be a Christian and pray and worship God if he allows bad things to happen to me and others like me. But now that I am Born Again I am trying really hard to rediscover my faith and this story is helpful. Thank you for posting it.

thats awesome! keep up the good work! :)

amen thanks for sharing
