A DANGEROUS False Teacher

Joseph Prince (born in 1963) is the Pentecostal senior pastor of one of Asia's biggest churches (New Creation Church) and the author of the best-selling book entitled, Destined To Reign. Concisely stated, he presents his book as a type of secret cure all, but after comparing it to the Bible it is nothing more than a dangerous spiritual snare to the unwary and unlearned! Joseph Prince lures people in with his remarkable claim stated on the front cover -- The secret to effortless success, wholeness and victorious living. Instead of Destined To Reign being the secret to something new, it really only offers the same old scriptural distortions used by past eternal security teachers, who have been around for a long time! Prince even admits to such towards the back of his book!
It was so good to hear from a seasoned man of God who had preached this same gospel even before I was born. (Destined To Reign, Harrison House, 2007 edition, p. 254)
Sadly, Prince takes his devoted Pentecostal fans through his warped presentation of what he calls grace and the gospel and leaves them totally off guard, misled and an easy target for the devil! Joseph Prince is much worse than the typical prosperity teacher. He has gone far beyond the gospel of greed as he mixes in various once saved always saved concepts as the panacea for victorious living, including stopping sin and getting physical healing! His effortless success gospel has apparently been swallowed hook, line and sinker by far too many gullible people. If not, he wouldn't have such influence and popularity as he does. It is the purpose of this critique to prove the inaccuracy of what Joseph Prince teaches about various key issues central to Christianity. All quotes come from the 2007 edition of Destined To Reign by Joseph Prince and published by Harrison House. (All emphasis is my own, unless otherwise stated).
Joseph Prince Is Wrong About
How to Get Born Again
Joseph Prince teaches to become a Christian, every person must make a personal decision to receive Jesus as Savior (p. 137). What that means to him is revealed at the end of his book, which would be found on page 315 if numbered. It is there that he has his Salvation Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and my Savior, now and forever. I believe that You rose from the dead and that You are alive today. Because of Your finished work, I am now a beloved child of God and heaven is my home. Thank You for giving me eternal life, and filling my heart with Your peace and joy. Amen.
Prince teaches a so-called gospel devoid of Biblical repentance and based on mental assent, as he implies his heretical once saved always saved belief. Just pray a little prayer and you're forever saved while in your sins. He brushes off the vital necessity of turning away from wickedness by misapplying the meaning of repentance and therefore doesn't teach saving faith and its accompanying crucifying the flesh (Gal. 5:24). Joseph Prince stated:
Repentance just means changing your mind. When John the Baptist said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" he was essentially saying, "Change your mind, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" (p. 233).
The truth is, if one doesn't turn away from his sins, he will never find true salvation to begin with. That is the fate of all who believe Joseph Prince (and many others antinomians like him). Jesus said the Ninevites repented at the preaching of Jonah (Mt. 12:41) and Jonah 3:10 states they turned from their evil ways. So repentance means turn from evil ways, according to the Lord Jesus. That is Jesus' definition and he cited the actions of the Ninevites as repentance. He further said one must do that or perish (Lk. 13:3,5). So the first mistake Joseph Prince makes is of the greatest magnitude and involves how to be born again and start the Christian life, but there is much more!
Permanent Righteousness Without Doing What Is Right
Joseph Prince teaches the typical eternal security imputed righteous message as his secret, which is glaringly lethal:
My friend, righteousness is a gift because of what Jesus has accomplished on the cross for you. All your sins - past, present and future - have been washed clean by His precious blood. You are completely forgiven and from the moment you received Jesus into your life, you will never be held liable for your sins ever again. You have been made as righteous as Jesus.... (pp. 28, 29)
He sees you clothed with Jesus' righteousness. So begin to see yourself clothed in Jesus' righteousness. (p. 29)
The more you realize that you are righteous, the more victory you will experience over sin! Wake up every morning and give thanks that you are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. (p. 31)
Is Jesus righteous before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He accepted before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He well-pleasing before God? Yes! Then so are you. (p. 58)
God cannot see your sins when they are covered by the blood. (p. 209)
Don't uncover your sins or the sins of others. They have been completely forgiven by the blood of Jesus (p. 211).
When God looks at you, all He sees is the blood of Jesus that makes you completely righteous. (p. 251)
There is no argument that Jesus is our righteousness (Rom. 1:17; 1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 3:9; etc.), but that righteous standing before God can change and has for some:
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud." (2 Pet 2:20-22)
Without question Peter is referring to people who had experienced the radical new creation change at salvation and were set free from their sin addictions (Rom. 6:22) at a past point. They knew the way of righteousness (Jesus Christ), but afterwards again got entangled with sin and overcome! They became backsliders, who were previously washed, but returned to the filth and defilement of wickedness. Peter states they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness. In other words, they were not a backslidden Christian still bound for heaven, as Joseph Prince might say. They were on the road to hell again, but worse off than before they were born again, forgiven and made righteous! In other words, Peter believed (and wanted all Christians to know) one's righteous standing before God can change over sin! Joseph Prince opposes Peter's grace teaching, and scores of other passages to teach the perpetual righteousness heresy to the spiritual harm of all who are deceived by him.
A Christian is righteous because of his present tense faith in The Lord Jesus (Rom. 3:22). The issues with Prince involve what type of faith in Jesus does it take, and can that faith cease to exist or become destroyed (among other things)? The answer is, it takes a present tense saving faith, which submits to and follows Jesus in obedience to remain righteous after getting born again. Moreover, true saving faith can cease to exist and become destroyed (Luke 8:13; 2 Tim. 2:18; 1 Tim. 1:19; Rom. 11:19-23). After salvation, sin can nullify a Christian's righteous and holy standing before God and make him unholy, impure, unrighteous and spiritually dead! [See chapter 7 of the book, The Believer's Conditional Security: Eternal Security Refuted.] All through the Bible we are warned that if a righteous man turns and does evil, he will die spiritually because of it (Ezek. 33:18; Rom. 8:13 cf. Gal. 6:8,9; etc.). In contrast to those clear scriptures, Joseph Prince teaches an ear-tickling, do-nothing success gospel, which seems to exalt the blood of Jesus, but really dangerously distorts it. Again, his teaching is nothing new and God surely didn't reveal to him his secret to effortless success! [It is true that success to get to heaven is uniquely in the Lord Jesus, but only through a submissive faith in him and for those who endure to the end (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11).]

God's ETERNAL Truth About The Righteous
In an effort to protect the sheep and combat dangerous false teachers in first-century Christianity, the Apostle John wanted all to know the vital details about who is and who isn't righteous. His teaching seems custom made for Joseph Prince and his tens of thousands of gullible followers:
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil .... (1 John 3:7,8)
That passage is a devastating bombshell to the false grace and counterfeit gospel taught by smiley Joseph Prince (and others like him) and therefore should be memorized and taught often. NOTE: The Apostle John knew much better about the precious holy and cleansing blood of Jesus than Joseph Prince, yet never taught anything like, when God looks at you, all He sees is the blood of Jesus that makes you completely righteous. John stated it is only he who does what is right who is righteous! A person doing sinful things is of the devil. That is God's truth and what all Christians should believe. It has nothing to do with whether the person sinning wants to do sinful things or not! He who does what is sinful is of the devil, but again Joseph Prince denies that, teaches against that message and simultaneously states all through Destined To Reign that he is hearing God's direct voice! Sometimes he and God are dialoging with each other about the spiritual! Do NOT be deceived by such a claim!
The Apostle Paul collaborates with John and drives another nail in the theological coffin lid of Joseph Prince's putrid grace message:

Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey - whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? (Rom 6:16)
No one can conclude from that verse that righteousness is permanent and unchanging, even without OBEDIENCE! So, how then can Joseph Prince successfully deceive so many by teaching the opposite? Paul taught of a righteousness, which comes from obedience! That isn't law, but his grace teaching!
Our Future Sins
Are NOT Automatically Forgiven
The grace understanding of the senior pastor of the 20,000+ member Singapore New Creation Church is worse than lacking, according to scripture! Prince actually stands behind the once saved always saved concept that our future sins are already forgiven before they are committed, which means the person in any of the sins cited in 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Mark 7:20-23; Rev. 21:8; etc. will dismiss them as both already forgiven and hidden from God, which sets them up to be thrown into the lake of fire! [Prince also teaches all sin is of the same degree (p. 60) and thereby contradicts 1 John 5:16,17 and other scriptures.] Folks, it's apparent the devil doesn't believe our future sins are already forgiven because he continues to tempt us to sin! The devil knows, as the Bible so clearly says from cover to cover, that spiritual death will come on the righteous who do evil (Rom. 6:16; 8:13; Gal. 6:8; etc.). It is the devil (and Joseph Prince), NOT GOD, who wants Christians to think their future sins are already forgiven!
... there is no sin that a Christian is not forgiven of. (p. 91, bold emphasis his)
His blood that was shed forgives all your sins - past, present and even future sins. Many Christians have the erroneous belief that only their past sins have been forgiven. They believe that when they received Christ, only their past sins were forgiven. So they believe that they have to be very careful from that point onwards. (p. 44)
... Jesus has cleansed you of the sins of your entire life and you are now sealed with the promise of eternal life! (p. 95)
The more you believe that all your sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus, the more you will become whole - body, soul and spirit! (p. 95)
scripture teaches the Christian's future sins are NOT already forgiven before committing them and God can see the sins committed by those who have been born again! The scriptural evidence is clear and conclusive. Continuous forgiveness is not automatic. To be forgiven after becoming a child of God, among other things, one must forgive those who sin against him:
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Mat 6:14,15)
That scripture alone decimates the doctrine that a Christian's future sins are already automatically forgiven! Don't be deceived about that or God being unable to see the sins of a person previously saved, because of the blood of Christ. Jesus taught if you disown him, he will disown you (Mt. 10:33) and Paul repeated the same truth (2 Tim. 2:12). Peter taught only our past sins are forgiven (2 Peter. 1:9) - the very point Joseph Prince openly opposes!
Furthermore, all through Revelation chapters 2 and 3 you'll notice that their future sins were not forgiven and Jesus could see them! He stated they forsook their first love, were lukewarm, were tolerating Jezebel, holding to the teaching of Balaam, etc. NOTE: That is the real Lord Jesus himself, after the cross who knows all about his own blood and saving grace! Jesus told 5 of the 7 church groups to REPENT, but you will never hear that type of directive given by Joseph Prince nor the hell warnings that accompany it (Rev. 2:5; 3:16; etc.)! How could the same Lord Jesus who taught those spiritual treasures and Joseph Prince be dialoging together resulting in Prince's putrid antichrist doctrines? Impossible!

When God looks at you today, He sees you covered with Jesus' blood and completely righteous. Only the devil, you yourself and the people around you will bring your sins to your remembrance. (p. 98)
When you are under grace, even when you fail and fall short of God's standards, God still sees you as righteous because of Jesus Christ. (p. 146)
Remember, Joseph Prince teaches effortless success! According to him, you don't have to be careful to avoid all appearances of evil (1 Thess. 5:22), pray to be led from temptation (Mt. 6:13), etc. Sin is not the issue with his gospel and you don't need to be careful, guarded or conscious of sin. How different his doctrine is from the Holy Spirit inspired, forever-settled written word of God about sin and the Christian life. God's real truth is:
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person - such a man is an idolater - has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. (Eph 5:3-7)
We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. (Heb 2:1)
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Tim 4:16)
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. (Heb 3:12-14)
Futhermore, the Lord Jesus taught we need to make a continuous effort to enter God's kingdom:
Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every EFFORT to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." (Luke 13:23,24)
Does that seem like effortless success to you? How about these passages?
For this very reason, make every EFFORT to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Pet 1:5-11)
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every EFFORT to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. (2 Pet 3:13,14)
Make every EFFORT to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Heb 12:14)
I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man. (Acts 24:15,16)
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (1 Cor 9:27)
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. (Heb 12:4)
Joseph Prince Clearly Has a
False Gospel Which Opposes 1 Cor. 15:2
Joseph Prince has a false gospel which glaringly contradicts and opposes the real gospel of grace, as detailed in 1 Cor. 15:2.
By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
Under grace, the Christian is responsible to hold firmly to the truth for his own salvation's sake! To believe in vain is to be without eternal life at that point and apparently is a real valid danger or it wouldn't have been stated! Many other similar warnings and Christian responsibilities are cited throughout the New testament.
Joseph Prince Contradicts Himself
But No One Seems To Notice
Like other false teachers, Joseph Prince teaches opposite messages, yet it seems that no one notices or cares! (A contradiction is a definite sign of error.) His popularity isn't affected and continues to grow! His followers have turned to his myths (2 Tim. 4:3,4). Ponder these Joseph Prince teachings:
... the more you are under grace, the more sin will be depleted of its strength. (p. 26)
... the more grace you receive, the more power you have to overcome sin. (p. 26)
When you are under God's grace and His perfect forgiveness, you will experience victory over sin. (p. 45)
... I find that in the scriptures, victory over sin is found in the preaching of God's grace. (p. 249)
Sin does not stop God's grace from flowing, but God's grace will stop sin. (p. 249, bold emphasis his)
According to Joseph Prince, the remedy to overcome sin is simply GRACE! Since Joseph Prince teaches effortless grace, how can he also inconsistently teach the following contradictions and successfully get away with them?
1. He implies in the following quote that all Christians are sinning all the time:

If you really believe that you need to confess all your sins to be forgiven, do you know what you would be doing? You would be confessing your sins ALL THE TIME! (p. 107, bold and capital emphasis his)
COMMENT: Certainly there must be some Christian somewhere who understands Biblical grace (his remedy) and would have complete victory over sin and therefore would not have to confess his sins all the time! Isn't that true?
2. Joseph Prince thinks he is teaching like Paul, yet still smears the Apostle Paul as doing evil (the things he hates) and not overcoming sin!

... Paul himself wrote about: "For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do." I am writing to believers who have this genuine struggle with the law and who like Paul are crying out, "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" (p. 167)
COMMENT: Just like other grace changers, Joseph Prince smears the Apostle Paul as practicing evil and being a wretched man overcome by sin, even as a Christian. It is the typical misuse of Rom. 7:14-25. Why wasn't Paul able to overcome sin, as a Christian? He certainly understood grace and righteousness, and according to Prince that's what it would take! That is a major contradiction since Paul was a true genuine grace teacher. Joseph Prince also compares Paul (the grace teacher) to believers who struggle with the law!
3. Joseph Prince impugns the entire church at Corinth as being sinful, implies they didn't understand grace and were in need of more true grace teaching to overcome sin:

Yet, we know that the church in Corinth was in a mess. The people were involved in all kinds of outwards sins. They were in strife, envy and jealousy, and some of them were even going to temple prostitutes ... All in all, there were all kinds of immoral activities going on in the church of Corinth. (pp. 257, 258)
COMMENT: Since the Corinthians were taught grace from Paul (the true grace teacher) and sound grace teaching is the key to overcoming sin (according to Prince), then it is inconsistent to say, there were all kinds of immoral activities going on in the church of Corinth. There would have to be NO immoral activities going on there, since Paul taught them the real pure facts about grace! Prince contradicts his own central doctrine, yet no one seems to notice or care! The true holy image of being a Christian has been blotched by smearing the Corinthians, as Joseph Prince does! The envy and strife at Corinth was about their favorite preachers (1 Cor. 1:12 cf. 3:3-6)! There is NO evidence that any in the Corinthian congregation were seeing temple prostitutes! NONE! If they had been, they would be identified as unrighteous and would NOT enter God's kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9,10). By teaching as he does, Joseph Prince apparently believes there are Christian whoremongers, which is impossible (Rev. 21:8). The truth about their real behavior is revealed in a passage too few seem to know:
I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. (1 Cor 5:9-11)
How could the Corinthians not associate with professing Christians who were sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler, IF THEY WERE DOING THE SAME THINGS? Think! Obviously, the Corinthian Christians were NOT doing those kinds of sins and were taught about grace, yet the grace changers (like Joseph Prince) teach otherwise!
If someone has really known and experienced grace and the gift of no condemnation, he will NOT want to live in sin. Sin will be the last thing on his mind!... Grace always results in victory over sin! (p. 167)
The truth is, the Corinthian Christians had the following observable evidence of saving grace, as all Christians do:
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3,4)
Again, the Biblical criterion for being a possessor of eternal life violently contradicts Joseph Prince and his effortless success gospel! Dear reader, which will you believe?
4. Repeatedly, Joseph Prince subtly downplays the seriousness of any sin committed after getting saved by say they were already forgiven and God can't see them! However, if you disagree with his teachings your wrong believing is disobedience (SIN)!

The problem with the church today is wrong believing. I'm sorry to tell you this, but if you refuse to believe what God has said about the forgiveness of sins in the new covenant, then you are actually in disobedience. (p. 97)
COMMENT: Does Joseph Prince now believe such a SIN isn't already forgiven and God can see it?
The No Longer Angry
Mythical god Of Joseph Prince
What about God's anger and wrath - does it come on people who were once saved? Of course the never saved do have the wrath of God abiding on them (Eph. 2:3), but the issue at this point with Prince is over people once saved:
... His anger is toward those who have rejected Jesus ... we will never be punished because we have already received Jesus. As believers, God is no longer angry with us because all His anger for our sins fell upon Jesus at the cross. (p. 41)
Under the new covenant, God will never again chastise the believer for his sins! (p. 65)
What does this mean, my friend? This means that there is no more judgment for you when God looks at you. (p. 127)
The Singapore ear-tickler strikes again! Joseph Prince has a very high batting average as far as declaring venomous concepts and mere empty words! How can we be sure? Paul taught the Ephesian Christians that God's wrath would come on them for being disobedient in the area of immorality, impurity and greed (Eph. 5:5-7). The same passage states they would lose their inheritance to God's kingdom over those sins. In other words, Paul's grace message warned true Christians they could lose their salvation! Paul definitely was NOT an eternal security teacher. Since Prince doesn't agree with Paul, Joseph Prince is DANGEROUSLY wrong and a snare to SOULS!
Remember also that God struck Ananias and Sapphira dead for lying to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:1-11). Not only does that prove God got angry with them, but he could also see their sin and that future sin was NOT already forgiven before it was committed! It wasn't hidden by the blood of Christ! BTW, all liars go to the lake of fire, Rev. 21:8.

Because of Jesus' finished work at the cross, He will never be angry with you nor rebuke you even when you fail. (p. 305)
Jesus himself told the Thyatira congregation:
Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds. (Rev 2:20-23)
NOTE: Sexual sin angers God and it will drag the unrepentant to eternal fire before or after initial salvation (Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8; etc.)! That is the consistent message of the real Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 9:43-48). Any teaching which states once a person gets saved, his future sins can never drag him to hell is of the devil, regardless who is speaking it out.
The Christian can never be lost.... (p. 254)
Paul and Timothy and Joseph Prince
According to Prince, if one believes in the real gospel of Jesus the result will be health and prosperity:
... when you believe the gospel of Jesus, which is based entirely on His grace, it will result in health and prosperity. (p. 23)
Whatever your need is today, whether it is physical, emotional, mental, social or financial, your solution is found in a greater revelation of Jesus. (p. 189)
Since Paul and his traveling companions were dressed in rags at times and Timothy had stomach and frequent illnesses, then logically Prince must think neither Paul nor Timothy believed the real gospel of Jesus and needed a greater revelation of Jesus!
To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. (1 Cor 4:11)
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses. (1 Tim 5:23)
Folks, Joseph Prince is teaching religious myths and they go on and on. Perhaps, his convoluted unwitting conclusions, which even indict Paul and Timothy, are possibly better understood from the following:
Some Christians are not able to receive healing because they are not able to receive forgiveness. They are still sin-conscious and doubt their forgiveness. They believe that God may have forgiven their past sins, but not the sins of their whole life. (pp. 186, 187)
In other words, once you know that you have been forgiven of all your sins, past, present and future, the healing of all your diseases follows. (p. 290)
Does it really matter if you condemn yourself and allow your sin debt to remain on your conscience even after Jesus has overpaid it? Yes, it matters because apart from dishonoring the work of Jesus on the cross, sin-consciousness makes you avoid God, and can produce in you condemnation, sicknesses, diseases, depression and a cycle of sin! (p. 185)
Sarcastically I say, had Paul and Timothy only understood things the way Joseph Prince teaches them in Destined To Reign things could have been better for them! They could have had health and prosperity and Paul would have been set free from his cycle of sin. Of course, Prince is wrong and Paul was set free from his sin addictions and was living holy and exemplary.
Once Saved Always Saved or Eternal Security
Without doubt, Joseph Prince believes in and teaches once saved always saved or eternal security, even though he didn't clearly state such in Destines To Reign:
A believer has already received the gift of eternal life and will never be "subject to eternal condemnation". (p. 92)
The Christian can never be lost.... (p. 254)
You are His beloved child regardless of what you have done. (p. 302)
He loves you and will never judge or condemn you! (p. 303)
Folks, that is the essence of the devil's first lie to mankind (Gen. 3:4), that is, sin will not produce spiritual death for the righteous. From the parables of the Lord Jesus to the Pauline epistles to Jesus precious words to the seven churches in Asia (Rev. 2 and 3), it is explicitly clear that there is no eternal security. Here are just a few passages to ponder:
‘For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. (Luke 15:24)
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:8,9)
My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19,20, NASB)
Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev 2:10,11)
Tidbits Of Distortions
Here are several other shocking distortions of scripture from his book. For your own sake, please compare Joseph Prince to the following scriptures:
Prince thinks we confess our FORGIVEN sins because we are already forgiven:

Listen carefully: We don't have to confess our sins in order to be forgiven. We confess our sins because we are already forgiven. (p. 104)
No one could get that out of 1 John 1:9, the verse he refers to. Here is the real truth of God:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Prince also stated:
Similarly, when you think that you can still save yourself, God's grace cannot flow. (p. 267)
But Peter taught people to save yourselves and God's saving grace did flow to 3,000 people:
With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. (Acts 2:40,41)
Also, if Prince is right, why did Paul write Timothy the following directive?
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Tim 4:16)
To teach sin is not an issue for a believer and a believer's future sins are already forgiven, Prince distorts one of his primary proof texts. First is his quote:
When the Bible declares in 1 John 1:7 that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin, the tense here in the Greek for the word "cleanses" denotes a present and continuous action. (pp. 247, 248)
Somehow Joseph Prince forgot to state the condition needed to receive a present tense cleansing of sin and, thereby, violently distorted its meaning. Here is how it actually reads and must be understood:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
What is Prince's goal? In part, it is stated here:
Stop examining yourself and searching your heart for sin. (p. 187)
Is that a valid goal to be teaching under grace? If so, then Paul was teaching wrongly:
A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. (1 Cor. 11:28)
Prince says if you study your Bible it will show that every time the children of Israel murmured and complained, it only brought forth fresh demonstrations of God's favor, supply and goodness.
Study the Bible yourself. You'll find that every time the children of Israel murmured and complained, it only brought forth fresh demonstrations of God's favor, supply and goodness. (p. 222)
In contrast, the Biblical record says the following about their complaining:
Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the LORD, and when he heard them his anger was aroused. Then fire from the LORD burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp. (Num 11:1)
Could it be Prince is NOT studying his Bible, but listening to strange dark voices he wrongly thinks is the Lord's?
Joseph Prince Exalts God's Love For Us
But Not Our Love For Him
Prince stresses God's love for us and implies it is the only and ultimate issue:
But I know the truth today. I know that even when I fail, God and I are still "tight" (we are still "cool", you know what I mean?) because of the blood of Jesus. God still sees me as His beloved. I have the gift of righteousness apart from my performance. I know that God still loves me, that our fellowship is not broken and that His favor still flows in me. Beloved, there is nothing you can do today to make God love you more, and there is nothing you can do to make Him love you any less. (p. 300)
The truth is, our love for God is needed for our salvation (1 Cor. 16:22; 1 Cor. 2:9; James 2:5) and, therefore, is the real issue! God loves even unsaved people, who are on the road to hell (Mark 10:21). It is our love for God that is a salvation issue. To show our love for God we must OBEY him:
If you love me, you will OBEY what I command. (John 14:15)
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will OBEY my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him." (John 14:23)
This is love for God: to OBEY his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, (1 John 5:3)
According to Prince, that would be law! The truth is: OBEDIENCE is not law keeping, legalism or a works salvation! Obedience to God's commands is love for God and a manifestation of saving faith in Jesus. NOTE: God's commands are not burdensome (1 John 5:3)! Jesus said his yoke is easy (Matt. 11:29), which we wear when we follow him and do his will. So, it's our love for God that is the variable and critical factor which the devil tries to ruin by getting us to sin! The truth is scripture speaks of both the kindness and sternness of God, unlike the warped image Joseph Prince gives of God. Here is the real God of the Bible:
You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. (Rom 11:19-23)
Rom. 11:19-23 is a devastating blow to eternal security and once saved always saved! We are advised under true grace to be afraid because we can get cut off too! DO NOT BE DECEIVED!
Joseph Prince WRONGLY Claims
To Hear The Audible Voice Of The Lord
All through his book, Joseph Prince claims he is able to hear and sometimes even dialogue with God back and forth about spiritual things! Imagine that! That seems to be an unhealthy, but common, trait of the Word Faith crowd, from which he is coming. By stating such, Joseph Prince is subtly exalting himself to a prophet-like infallible position, where he must be correct, since he hears God's voice directly. He starts very early in his book with his claim:
I distinctly heard the voice of the Lord on the inside. It wasn't a witness of the Spirit. It was a voice, and I heard God say this clearly to me: "Son, you are not preaching grace." (vii)
If you believe that Joseph Prince can hear God's voice like he claims, he has you hooked and you will believe his lies! Logically, you would also have to believe what he teaches! But folks, how could Joseph Prince be hearing the voice of God since his teachings are so dangerously different from what the Bible teaches about grace, the gospel, sin, the Christian life, eternal salvation, etc.? He can't be! It's impossible! Do NOT be deceived! If God was speaking to Prince he would scathingly rebuke him for his heretical teachings which are stumbling others, but the voice he is hearing is much different! It can't be God voice for it has resulted with the poisonous contents of his book, Destined To Reign!
...God spoke to me. He began to show me more clearly than I had ever seen before .... (p. 214).
I heard the Lord speaking to me on the inside. He said, "Stop disqualifying My people! My blood has already qualified them. Stop disqualifying them!" (p. 272)
... the Lord spoke to me and said .... (p. 278)
... the Lord asked me ... The Lord said to me ... The Lord continued ... the Lord said to me (p. 280).
Again, and in conclusion, Joseph Prince might be hearing voices, but they are not the voice of the Lord since his doctrines are in such disharmony to what is stated in the Bible. Don't be deceived by the smiley, fluent and popular Joseph Prince as he preaches, My friend, you are destined to reign in this life (p. 34). The truth is, if you aren't living holy now you aren't a Christian now and living godly will bring about persecutions (2 Tim. 3:12) and the related! Take warning!
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. (2 Pet 2:1-3)

We are all God's people who cannot save ourselves from sin, but one thing for sure is to put our faith and trust in Christ and not in our works, for if our works were enough to take us to heaven then what would be the reason for Christ coming into the world.I also would like to assure my brother who has the courage to judge others, that love is the fruit of the Holy spirit and i would like him to study in the bible about what it is and then ask our heavenly father to abundantly provide it into his heart.I love you all in Christ and remind you that JESUS CHRIST is our everything, be blessed.

I was given my first bible in 1941. My Grandfather wrote in it. "This life is the childhood of eternity". I have long since learned that we all have the right to self expression. However that does not make us all correct in the way we express our opinions. Sometimes as Christian we can be our own worst enemies. Me! I go to my GPS to find the right path. My bible. " Gods personal statements"
( GPS). Finally our job is to build up. Not Pull down

You have SERIOUS issues & I find it SO VERY ungodly how much hatred you show towards Pastor Prince, which cannot come from a place of love. Passing so much judgement is pretty ugly too. May God have mercy on your soul.

Joseph Prince was not born in Asia. He is a Guyanese. Listen to his accent carefully! Those of us from the Caribbean knows the accent very well. I personally saw it when I googled it about two years ago as one of my aunts and me were discussing him. She also looked it up and saw just what I saw and all of a sudden it says he was born in Asia...Nope! If you are truly a man of God why would you be ashamed of where you came from?

Joseph prince and his sermons along with the hundreds of others have brought about miraculous testimonies to many new believers including myself. My father was healed of stage 4 pancreatic cancer through His grace and truth. The law was meant to be a flaw. No man is perfect.

According to your argument, Paul too was a false teacher because when the jailer at Philippi asked him "What must I do to be saved?" Paul didn't say anything about repentance, but simply "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house." I am sick of all these so-called Bible experts who think there is always and only ONE formula for being saved- the ONLY formula is FAITH IN JESUS!

It is sad that his own brothers in Christ are fighting against the msg of grace he is preaching. Grace shouldn't be feared, it will bring obedience like God intended. Stop wasting your time studying the bible to dispute your fellow believers, and focusing on sin. Instead focus on love and grace

Didn't David commit some capital crimes? I'm not as bad as hitler so I'm going to heaven. Ha ha.. maybe god will have grace on prince. But the pharisees that are more righteous and can find princes shortcomings certainly have less things to worry about. I can just see you washing your hands your plates and your food like a raccoon. Because the dirty guy under the bridge puts filth in. Ha ha. Bless you and bless jesus.

Although it is easy to find fault with Pastor Prince. I think he assignment is different from other preachers. He is a minster of grace. Remember Jesus will uprooted him if God did not plant him.So Pray for him, instead of judging him. If he is for Jesus then leave him alone. But if he not then he will scatter abroad.Jesus loves us all

Good call on praying for them, certainly. But the organization that they all belong to is very determined to undermine bible truth which paves the way for Satan's one world religion.

Read your bible and you'll recognize Christians from the Elect. The Elect refuse the mark of the beast not preach it.

You're a joke. The organization they belong too has saved many people. Your so focused on the devil (who is powerless and defeated) you even capitalize his name! Jesus crushed his head on the cross! The law was designed to show no man is perfect and the world needs a Savior. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ

yes, Prince, Joyce Meyer and a bunch that all belong to the same organization. Kenneth Copeland ministries is the same way too. They all know that people are too lazy to actually study bible for themselves. They know that while we're supposed to give God the first of the best, instead we give it to work, family friends and ourselves, capitalizing on our ignorance of bible truths and giving us deceptive half-truths. I learned my bible accurately off the KJV at age 11 and started getting certificates from all manner of denominations, knowing what were the right answers AND knowing which false answers to give what denomination in order to pass their tests. There is no church currently teaching the truth sufficiently to be under God's blessing- this is why Jesus is coming to collect the "remnant" (or the Elect in some bible) and not the church. The body of Christ is a small scattering of people from several denominations who are probably friendless within their churches, or who stay at home away from all the industrial religiocity passing itself off as 'obedience to God's Word"

For me, it's a simple matter. And there are three options. 1. if you believe that your salvation is ba<x>sed on your good works, then you can lose it ba<x>sed on your evil works. 2. if your salvation is ba<x>sed on your works and Jesus' work on the cross, then whether you are saved is always conditional on whether your works are good (since Jesus' work is complete). 3. if you believe that you are saved only by the grace of God, then you cannot lose your salvation because of your works since it is not ba<x>sed on your works. If you think your works play any crucial role in your salvation, then I wonder why Jesus had to come? And if Jesus' work on the cross needs your own works to complement it in order to guarantee your salvation, then you risk putting your work and Christ's on equal footing. But if God is to take his rightful place as God in saving you, then your being saved should depend entirely on him. And unless you think he's going to renege, then you must accept that your eternal security is assured.

Then I'm free to kill whoever I want and still go to Heaven....YAY!!!!!! I can rape who I want and everything.... Praise jesus!!!!!

Start reading a bible and find out how much your church has been lying to you. There is no such thing as faith without works that follow. if one's faith do not produce good works, their faith was not genuine to begin with.
A good tree will produce good fruit, a bad tree- bad fruit and a tree that produces no fruit is also torn up and cast into the fire- Don't be calling Jesus a liar, call the false teachers liars. A tree is known by its fruit- a non-productive tree is still an unsaved person. just because someone speaks the words doesn't mean that they live by them.

Well nobody said you should go and sin. This is the same way Paul's message was twisted!!! You speak about faith with works when scriptures say clearly that the father of faith was justified APART from works. As such he had nothing to boast before God! When John spoke about justification by works he was referring to justification before men. Before men your works justifies you. Before God it's faith. Only the man of faith pleases God. Yes faith will produce Good fruit but it is not the fruit that saves you. The fruit grows SUBSEQUENTLY. What are you afraid of? Why do you think the man who base his salvation entirely on God apart from works is more likely to sin than the one who trust in his works to save him? My dear if your salvation is based on your works then expect it to go on and off as you would be justified one minute and not the next. God help you!

Amen,

God said that The seventh day was to be His day of worship, but the church changed it to the first day. To refuse the Sabbath is just as much a sin as to commit murder according to God. Breaking any one commandment makes you as guilty as breaking all the commandments. And Jesus stated quite clearly that one jot or tittle of the Law would be changed or removed until Heaven and Earth pass away. And beyond this, In the book or Revelation, after the kingdom of Christ is established (Earth has been remade) they are still keeping the Sabbath according to the bible. So all of the original 10 commandments stand as given to Moses, according to the bible alone. Anyone practicing Sunday worship is a commandment breaker and in need of repentance or risk grieving the Holy Spirit, which is the seal that marks us for salvation.
As for faith and works, The books of James, Peter and the three books of John make it quite clear that there is no faith that is not followed by works, faith produces works. Note the tree and its fruits- as Jesus taught, a tree is known by its fruits (works), bad trees produce bad fruits, good trees produce good fruit, bad trees cannot produce good fruit, neither can good trees produce bad fruit. Any tree which does not produce good fruit will be cast in the fire, including those who do not produce any fruit, as in the example of the fig tree cursed by Jesus. The works DO NOT save us, the faith does, but if good works are not the product, one does not have his faith in the right place, the right way.
The problem really is that most people have a great relationship with the church, but almost no relationship with God.
If you really want to KNOW THAT YOU KNOW God, do as I did:

"Wander into the wilderness, do not think of what you will eat or what you will drink nor what you will wear for He knows that you need these things." Wilderness means any strange foreign place where you are unfamiliar with people and things. In my case I went to a strange big city, known to be dangerous and lived there homeless without any income for 3 1/2 years. in that time, I never once had to beg or steal and I ate well every day, never went a single night without adequate shelter, and had better companionship that I have ever had with an income and place to live. There is not a single human being that I know as well as God. I never had family, never had friends and the churches were full of pagans worshipping the blessings God gave them, rather than worshipping God . I have never met face-to-face any person capable of loving anybody (but themselves) and when they think that they are loving somebody else, what they really love is what that person does for them, what they like about them, what they have in common with them and what they admire about them. nobody church or otherwise is loving "Beings" but rather loving "things" surrounding people, which is idol worship, things are inanimate and not living and to love (worship) "things" is paganism .
The bible cautions believers "do not do as the pagans do" yet to learn what paganism really was/is 90% of what is practiced even in protestant churches has been carried over from the paganism introduced into purely Christian worship by the Roman Catholic Church.
Any person of rank in any Christian establishment must be known to his fellowship, he must be selected by the Body being recognized as an upstanding, married, employed believe who is known for living and setting a good example for others (works). Those were the criteria Jesus instructed His disciples to use when churches were to be established or a former member needed to be replaced. If there were more than one good candidate, then they would draw lots after praying for God to choose from among those candidates. Joseph Prince fits not one of these criteria. He fits his organizations criteria, but not that which Jesus set down as foundational to His church. Prince and Meyer and hoards of other teach that we ought to be getting rich if our faith is "right", according to Acts chapter 2 however, Christians do not own property (posessions) but share in all things, Christians do not participate in usury (charging interest or profit) from each other as it is forbidden according to God. Christians simply do for each other without "keeping score".
I do not follow any religion that does not believe (and practice) 100% of the bible.

No-one said that works wouldn't follow faith. You are mistaken if you think we are ignorant of what the bible says and following blindly. I see clearly Jesus came because the law could not save, so to say our works have any Bering on our salvation erases the sacrifice that brought grace. We don't have to fear grace, the bible says it will do it's perfect work. To add law on top to insure people don't sin will never work, or the new covenant would not have been necessary.

Works ALWAYS follow faith. If anyone says they have faith but do not have works to show for it, the bible says they are liars, and that the truth is not in them. And by "works" the bible does not mean acts of charity or preaching the gospel, by works the bible means obedience to the laws and commands of God- not because they have anything to do with salvation, but because those who ARE SAVED will place those things that please God, (like strict obedience) as their first priority and reject anything that will try to make itself a higher priority. Doing what pleases God and avoiding what displeases God is what works are. Because the churches are disobedient to begin with, they are unable to even resemble the church that was established by Jesus. No institute of any kind is teaching the truth, the bible even says so. There is only the "Elect" or "Remnant" who are saved in this age unless we are to say that the bible is a lie. They are called this because they were chosen by God as opposed to being members of churches and they are also called the Remnant because they are the only ones keeping God's laws and commands while the church is teaching people to disobey God, just like they are right now.
Homosexuality is an abomination to God according to the bible, yet churches are allowing homosexual marriages- it makes no difference to God that governments are responsible for forcing this on churches as the bible says not to do it. Those who put the government as higher priority than God are not with God. Otherwise the deaths of all the saints would be pointless. There are similar examples of such disobedience in every denomination. There is no compromise in God's laws, there cannot be. Law means permanent, unchangeable, always the same- all people are born in sin, among things they are born liars, everyone. When people make laws, they are never permanent, they are always changing and for every man-made law compromises quickly follow because worldly, sinful man is unstable, inconsistent and always seeking advantages.
What happened to the kind of Christians who willingly went to prison, were beaten and flogged even crucified? Anyone who is not as willing to suffer as them have not received salvation yet. This is simple to understand as there is only one Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not contrary, He cannot contradict Himself, he will lead any believer down the same path as the apostles and disciples and the world will respond the same as it always has.
Abraham was fully prepared to sacrifice his only child and would have, yet before commencing he made an affirmation that "God would provide a sacrifice". Abraham had faith that God would spare his son, and had works to prove that faith by the act of nearly sacrificing him with the full intention of following through if God did not provide a sacrifice. This teaching is so important to the teaching of salvation that the whole story serves as a prophesy about the coming of Jesus= (the literal bible quote is): God will provide HIMSELF a sacrifice which means that God will provide the sacrifice that He requires AND that He will actually BE the sacrifice (in the form of His son).
Modern society is so hung up on "scientific explanations" for everything that true faith has become a misunderstood antiquity wrongfully delegated to the "superstitious". Many churches are now starting to reject the bible's account of creation in favor of the theory of evolution (which has no basis on any fact- rather a compounding of multiple theories, where one theory is thought to prove another theory which in turn proves the other theory.....) This is called circular logic and is employed primarily by professional liars... and stage magicians.

Wow! Some pretty powerful information..
Your message is very clear. Everyone has an opinion and I thank you for the beautiful scriptures that you posted on this site..I even copied it so I can print it out and post it in my sons room lol. It says in the bible Mathew 7:1-29 " Judge not".. We as Christians need to strive under no circumstances to judge others because they will be judged by God.
There are so many false prophets, the Illuminati, religions, facts and opinions that are just mind blowing. Some of us can hear God's voice in our minds and heart if we are close to him, I know he speaks to me and I can literally hear his voice, this is possible. It is hard to sit back and watch with out saying anything, I understand, but God is in control and always has and always will I say this with love and kindness and understanding..

Beautifully said Godwithus2! You are close to the essence of Christ!

Add a response...

When Paul went to preach, almost the whole city came to hear him.

When did self righteousness save anyone?

What is the point of Jesus if we can stop sinning?

The problem isn't that people sin, it is that people deny sinning, and therefor deny the saving power of Jesus.

Read Jesus talks with the pharisees and scribes. They were mad he healed on the sabboth.. he healed people! and they were mad

Read all of Romans and see the struggle Paul had with sin. Show me one verse Paul says he is perfect and doesnt sin anymore. Ohh wait, he said he is the greatest of all sinners. Oh and then he said no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. He asked WHO WILL DELIVER HIM from the wretched man that he is. He didn't say i will deliver myself

Part of becoming Christian is admitting you sin and need a savior, not stopping your sin and perfecting yourself. What in the world is wrong with anti-grace people?

Jude 1:24 "Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy," Where does it say individuals keep themselves from stumbling. Anti-grace philosophy is a joke.

Jesus said this "Yet it isn't I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes."

Paul said this "But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago."

People are so foolish. You who come and talk about sinners and JP giving authority to sin, you are liars. We were all born sinners, if you studied Romans you would know this. It is not a sin that makes you a sinner, you were born a sinner so you sin. JESUS HELPS YOU through the power of the Holy Spirit. Not yourself. I am guessing same people who hate JP think Jesus isn't God based on their little understanding...

Pretty much every letter from Paul begins with may the Grace of God be with you.. Anti-grace = anti-Christ

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9,10, NASB).

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21).

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them (Eph. 5:5-7).

Your understanding is basic. Why avoid everything I have mentioned? You apparently don't care to learn anything, but just state your point.. James 2:12 "For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God's laws."
You, as most basic people, probably can't believe that people who hold to Grace strongly are against sinning.. But we don't believe that righteousness can be gained through he law, because that would mean Christ died for nothing. Now if you are targeting people who do what they please and say its ok I have Jesus, you must understand they aren't really Christian. I am speaking as one who has seen Jesus in a dream and had no intention of knowing any religion for the sake of peace... to many friends of diff religions. But as it is written the Lord revealed Himself to me, not me to Him. I will tell you one thing, Paul makes mention that the law is written in our hearts and I strongly don't believe God made people to dumb to realize they are sinners. This is again in Romans. When you follow the gospels through pauls writings you begin to notice something. We are all sinners, and some of us are just to good (actually the foolish ones) to admit it... Sinning is obviously wrong. Again, we were born sinners... So, Jesus changes people. Not the Law. Paul writes through the law came the knowledge of sin. So the LAW IS GOOD. But people against grace need to quit neglecting Jesus and His finished Work. Remember, it is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. Not their owns efforts

You take so much for granted as to my knowledge of things spiritual and assume I know nothing, the scriptures you obviously find inconvenient was written by Paul as he was led by the Holy Spirit, you people that have dreams and visions cannot change what is written, we choose by voluntary actions to be sinners, if you have sin in your life that is covered by what has been placed in the reply above and want to hold on to same then you alone can change that situation, you are anonymous as far as your profile is concerned as are many that want to reject so much of the NT and fall behind a false teacher like JP, we are all sinners by choice.

I don't believe we are not sinners by choice. This, in my opinion, is incorrect theology and can be very burdensome. Again, "Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned" Sin entered the world through one man, implying that it is in the world we are in. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Now don't get me wrong, at one point everyone will probably sin knowing they are sinning. If you read about murmuring in the old testament you will know that even complaining is a sin. But babies who complain, are they doing it by choice?! And was Jesus ignorant when he said this "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Anyway you want to look at it, Jesus knows best. The sinning to me isn't a big deal, the big deal is denying Jesus and His Saving Grace and (in my opinion) refusing to suffer for His sake. The only thing I don't admire about JP is he seems to lack preaching on suffering (though I have heard a little b4). There is glory in suffering like Jesus did. But don't say JP is wrong on his main teachings, believe me there is no such thing as a perfect preacher... Jesus was the only perfect.

1What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?… Romans chapter 6

I must recant some of the things posted in a prior message. Recently, my faith was shaken to the core. Not by the devil, but by the very words of God Himself in His Holy Word. I began questioning everything that I was listening to prior to this shaking. Everything was being challenged in my faith and the Lord gave me this scripture in 1 Peter 1:6-7, Greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. The only thing I could recommend is to judge for yourselves. Don't just take anyone's word about something because for every pro there is a con. The Lord wants all of us to show ourselves approved in His word. We shouldn't take anyone's word as gospel because that is to make them an idol. We should try every spirit to see if it is God's. The truth is that God deeply desires a relationship with each and every one of us, not just Joseph Prince or Dan Corner (author of this article). He wants us to judge for ourselves because when we come before Him the only thing that will stand is our own convictions, not what so and so said. Seek God with all your heart and He will reveal the truth to you, through His word. If there is one thing that I can say that I learned through this shaking, it is to ask for God's Spirit when you read His word. If we come to His word in pride(unknowingly) we can interpret the word by the letter and not the spirit. Remember God wants our mercy, not sacrifice!!!! Be blessed!!!!!!!!!

Thank you. I am a Catholic from Singapore and it's disconcerting to know that so many of people are lured by his lies. Especially using the most blessed and holy name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Without our crucified Lord, there wouldn't be a Resurrection. We must always live in "Imitatio Christi". God bless all.

Catholicisn lures people away from God. Illuminati symbols on churches, praying to the "holy mother" (we are to pray to Jesus, the only way to the father us through the son), confessing to priests (his word calls us to confess our sins to Him, not man. Man cannit be an intercessor for Christ. There is so much more...stop following a religion and follow Christ, then your view point will be properly adjusted.

Hi
what J P is saying is once you are fully aware of the GRACE MESSAGE you would rather do good than bad therefore you would not want to do evil. We all sin but once under grace we immediately recongnise our actions stop.

if i gotten anything from JP preaching is exactly that...good comment,

I agree..great advice tony.

I totally agree with you, at least thats how I interpret JP's sermon. I guess that it's also down to the person him/herself to understand the message. If the person fills with the judgement, then he/she sees all things through this glass, if the person fills with grace, then he/she sees all things through compassion. It doesn't meant that we follow false teachers and should follow every teacher, but we do not have to spend so much energy criticizing anyone. Jesus said that it is what inside of us defiles us, not by anything dirty from external, but us ourselves. Through grace, we come to repentance, through repentant we start the journey of holiness. It's a journey, which takes time for us to grow and mature, so be kind to ourselves, and brothers and sisters who are still learning and growing, see them through a compassionate eye.

Once under grace? Grace came first, in the act of creation itself. The grace God offers us comes from His love for us which always existed. The issue isn't "earning" God's Grace (which is impossible since we are born in sin) but to accept AND RESPOND to His grace, which means to put all selfishness (concern for self) aside and put God's concerns first, trusting (faith) that he will look after our needs as we obey Him rather than ourselves. We abandon what the world calls "common sense" to live by faith rather than by our own knowledge- we cannot serve 2 masters, we cannot live according to the world and according to God'a will in His word at them same time, "common sense" is the same as worldliness which is the same as sinfulness which is the same as lawlessness.
When God calls something a law it means it is permanent and cannot be changed. People are liars and cheats, they make "laws" and then change or delete them when they become convenient- this is why the lawless Romans saw it fit to change the Sabbath commandment but the bible, God's word, supports no change of His laws and in fact, Jesus said that the laws would stand for all time: "until both Heaven and Earth have passed away ", not one jot or tittle will be changed or removed from God's Law. That's why it's a law, because its permanent. No religious institution is qualified to teach about God or His word- that is why we were given the Holy Spirit, without it we cannot discern the spiritual aspects of god's word in order to understand his word and Himself. The bible says that flesh cannot understand spiritual things. by this saying, mere men cannot teach about God, they can teach about the importance of god and His word, at best. By means of the
bible through the instruction of The Holy Spirit, what is against commons sense of the world makes sense to the believer and what the world does no longer makes sense because the vast majority of the world are unbelievers basing their "common sense" according to the flesh as they have no God-given understanding of the spiritual because they did not go to God for His understanding but instead trusted their own understanding or that of other people. Where is there any "common sense" anywhere in the story of Abraham preparing to sacrifice His only son? There is only blind faith here, no common sense- and what about all the miracles which blatantly defy common sense?
Faith is the forsaking of "common sense" and adapting a life of faith in God who governs over everything: that which conforms to "common sense" and those who live a Godly life of faith beyond the confines of common sense.
Common sense says that if you give things away you will eventually come into loss but God's word says the more you give away (and the less you keep for yourself) the more He will replenish and replace even after you are unable to store it all or even give it away fast enough. God is not the liar- those who teach to save up and store away are teaching exactly the opposite of God and no matter what truths they retain have only the power to mislead people who don't study the bible constantly and with the aid of the Holy Spirit, most pastors hardly spend 10% of their time with God claiming to be too busy with the mundane operations of the church, this is contradictory also to the description of the church that was established by Jesus. The church is to become central to all aspects of life to its members, not just a Sunday social gathering of speeches and music. All new members are to sell all their property and give the money to the church to be distributed in a manner that brings all its members into financial equality. No members are to charge interest or make profit off other members as this is forbidden (usury is forbidden). Religious men changed these things because lacking God-given faith which comes from a proper obedient relationship with God in order to gain the correct understanding of the bible, they changed these things to that which made sense to their worldly understanding- "surely more people would join the church if they were allowed to keep their property and get rich individually. But they missed the depth of god's wisdom that people cannot cooperate with each while divided by economic and social differences between them. This is why there is no visible correctly worshipping church in this modern age, just as the bible predicted. To worship God, we must do so according to His terms, not terms of our own making. No mater how little sense something seems to make, the bible is always right and people are always the reason for misunderstanding- God is not the author of confusion, if there is any question about what a passage in the bible means, the answer cannot be found by going to men, no matter how much education they have, the answer is to ask God and then expectantly wait for His answer and the only way to recognize God's answers is by getting to know Him in person.
How long does it take for you to start trusting a total stranger who is flesh and blood like yourself, which can be touched felt and understood to be almost identical to yourself in most ways? And yet 99.9% of church goers think that they can instantly start trusting in God who is vastly different from us, cannot currently be touched or seen and constantly asks people to do what seems improbable, impossible, or contradictory to common sense? It starts like a seed, that needs lots of tending and then it starts to grow and grow until only God makes any sense at all. Faith is trusting in what doesn't make sense, it is easy but also foolishness to think that any of the word's ways are wise.
Church matter not at all if you don't eagerly spend as much time as you can individually with God- spending time with a church is spending time with a church and spending time with God is spending time with God if the only time you have for God is while you are at church you haven't accepted salvation yet. The Holy Spirit gradually changes people into the spiritual likeness of Jesus. Jesus gave up the worldy work of a carpenter to take up the spiritual work of God. Luke gave up being a physician (for money) and practiced his skills voluntarily as a part of his ministry, also Paul had given up tent-making to take up discipleship other than one incident where he worked to support himself (he was away from his church) and the majority of that was given to charity. There are no biblical examples to support any of the modern Christian churches' practices whether Protestant or Catholic.
We are in the final age according to the bible, only the Remnant are saved- the Remnant have many descriptors in the book of Revelations, but the most obvious is that the Remnant keeps all of God's commandments, even when the one world government/religion of the anti-christ makes all other forms of worship illegal.
knowing this is expected from a God who never changes, means that even now, if we want to call ourselves saved, we must show it by living according to God's spiritual laws, by faith, in spite of how they may appear to be contradictory to what we have always believed to be wisdom.
God never created us and then redeemed us so that we can live to suit ourselves- he created us to be servants directly under Him. We were to tend his Earthly paradise in exactly the manner in which He ordered us to, Newer bibles lie saying he made Adam to be king of the Earth- if that were true then God gave up His right to any authority on Earth, but Adam was made Stewart, not king- a stewart has all the authority required to maintain the kingdom just as the king left it, but has very minimal authority to make any changes, the stewart receives payment, but does not own the kingdom as everything still belongs to the king in his absence- unless the king dies without an heir, in which case only then does the stewart become king. Jesus is the heir and until he inherits it, we are not yet co-heirs with authority to implement changes, we only have the authority currently to obey and act on God's law and commands. Anyone who claims such authority prematurely is a usurper just as Satan is. The papacy claims to have the authority to change God's laws- This is the same as claiming to be God. Which is blasphemy.

I am pleading with Joseph Prince to repent. I was once a strong advocate of his ministry. I even spent hundreds of dollars on his materials so that I could share them with everyone I knew. I even gave one of his books to my pastor because Joseph told me to from the pulpit. I have repented before the Lord, because the Lord revealed the truth to me. We are to always try the spirits and see if they agree with the word of God. If it doesn't agree with God's word (The Holy Bible) it is not of God, no matter how it appeals to our soul. I believe that Joseph truly recvd the revelation of Jesus, but that when his congregation demanded more revelation, he forced it upon himself to give more and ended up getting completely off track. God bless your heart Joseph, may the Lord open the eyes of your understanding, and humble you before Him before it is too late. The Lord demands all or nothing.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Revelation 3:14-22
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Lukewarm Church

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[a] write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[b] I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

jesus christ is lord its about love forgivness and mercy and grace john 3:16

Whatever, you go right ahead and let people interpret the bible for you. I'll stick with what the Holy Spirit reveals in the scriptures as it is written- "trust no man's understanding". Start reading Revelations and you will learn about the "remanant" also known as the "elect" which are those refuse the mark of the beast, which is not an RFID chip, Only God can interpret his word for you.

I repent of this post. I believe that the devil is constantly trying to challenge our faith in God's grace. God has tested people many time with His own words. We must continue to make demands upon His goodness because Faith in Him and His goodness is what pleases Him most. Joseph Prince's teachings have actually released me from the spirit of depression and condemnation many times. The Bible says that a righteous man will fall seven times but rises again! We can easily fall from grace and start looking to our own selves again. But, we will always return to the power of His grace to overcome on our behalf. Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds! God bless Joseph Prince, his family, and his ministry!

I learned everything I needed to know about Mr. Prince when I saw him flash the "El Diablo" sign (sign of the devil) in one of his video sermons. This man is a fraud and an agent of Satan to take well-meaning Christians on a detour of the devil's design. I only wish I had done a screen capture of that telling action. This was God sending the Holy Spirit down to make him show his true colors to everyone. I am glad I saw it. I am sorry that I cannot remember which of the sermons from his sight that it was in which he did this.

Joseph Prince's grace doctrine, I fear, will lead many a soul to damnation.

It is not Prince's doctrine. Listen again. It is Christ's.

"Listen"?

I've listened to plenty of Prince and he definitely does not go along with any Scripture that I'm aware of so please point me to the Scripture that calls Prince's doctrine "Christ's".

I would love to see that.

Listen with an unbiased heart instead of sticking to your convictions. Prince strongly advocates that Jesus's death on the cross is an overpayment for all our sins, even future ones (of course God is aware that even after accepting Christ as our saviour, we are likely to still sin). However, His finished work on the cross means that today we can rest, and if you are secure knowing of your father's unconditional love for you, won't a natural desire to please him abound in your heart instead? On the contrary, it is surprising when fellow Christians believe we will grow more wicked and sin even more consciously. If we do sin, it is because we can never be perfect unlike Jesus, who became sin on our behalf though he never sinned. We are made perfect through him, not through our own efforts, it is by grace we are saved. You think God did not know this? He knew and anticipated man would still sin, but nevertheless, he still does not withhold his love and forgiveness because he sees Christ in us. When you consciously try to be good and do good, are you not trying to prove your obedience is on par with Jesus's when it can never be? When you stop trying and start resting in his finished work, your natural disposition will be to turn away from sin, despite the occasional stumble. Do the natural and God will do the supernatural; rest assured that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. Because God knew that man would never be able to abide by the ten commandments to the letter, his son would have to die so that Christians could enter his kingdom using his blood as our mode of entry. That is the only way, so how can you insist on still trying to obey the commandments as a means of being righteous? The minute you do that, it's akin to dismissing Jesus's death on the cross as being insufficient since you have to "chip in" to do your part...

The doctrine of grace is Christ's

Enough said.
Please read John 1:17 - For the law was given by Moses, but GRACE AND TRUTH came by Jesus Christ.

So, you decide whose side you are on.

the word 'but' in the original text does not exist. it was added by the translator. it supposed to be supporting one another, not demolishing the other... you should have a question here...wich law of Moses? find out yourself and you will learn more... ;)

I know you're trying to protect the 10 commandments..Go read 2Corinthians 3:7..you will understand that it was the ten commandments that Jesus nailed on the cross. For Paul called them, the ministry of death + ministry of condemnation.

They do go together, but grace is what accomplished what law never could, so never go back to law to accomplish righteousness, this is the only way the bible says we can fall from grace.

I get you... I decided a couple of years ago, when I first heard the Truth in the gospel of GRACE....

CAN PEOPLE LOSE THEIR SALVATION, Hebrews 10:26 is talking about people that are REAL believers that have FALLEN AWAY!!! They HAD a sacrifice for sins BUT when they blasphemy the Holy Spirit they LOST the SALVATION that God had promised them IF they WOULD have KEPT the FAITH and continued to live by FAITH!!! They are not TRUE believers though they WERE at ONE POINT. Read Luke 8:13 AMP They believe for a while and in the time of trial and temptation FALL AWAY. So they give up in their FAITH walk when things get HARD and when their faith is being TESTED thus making their FAITH not true and genuine. Also read Hebrews 6: 4-6 AMP For it is IMPOSSIBLE to RESTORE and BRING AGAIN to repentance those who have been once for all enlightened who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the holy spirit. Verse 5 And have FELT how good the word of God is and have felt the mighty powers of the age and world to come. The powers of the age and world to come mean to feel the power of God the Holy Spirit within you letting you know how close Jesus is to coming back it's an EXTREME sense of KNOWING and a POWERFUL feeling that the return of Jesus is close so close that you feel it within and of the millennial age. Verse 6 if they DEVIATE from the FAITH and TURN AWAY from their allegiance, it is IMPOSSIBLE to bring them BACK to repentance. So if you said the "sinner's prayer" and think to yourself I am good to go now, I am saved no matter what I do YOU ARE WRONG!!! TRUE biblical FAITH is NOT a one night stand it's a LIFESTYLE. Look up findtruth88 on you tube the sermon is have you been lulled to sleep, I don't have enough space to explain TRUE biblical faith, Marcus who posted it is a true man of God. John 16:13 AMP says when the Spirit of truth comes he will guide you into ALL truth. John 16:8 AMP and when he comes he will CONVICT and CONVINCE the world and bring demonstration to it about SIN and righteousness uprightness of heart and STANDING RIGHT WITH GOD. He is also our comforter, That's what the Holy Spirit does!!! So if you are a REAL believer and you are PURPOSLEY living in SIN thinking to yourself a little bit of this and that won't hurt me YOU are DECIEVING yourself SINNING PURPOSLEY will always take you to a place that you would never imagine or picture yourself doing. It WILL lead into more SIN and eventually if you keep going down that path a seared conscience(1 Timothy 4:2) Turn to the Lord and REPENT and seek other believers for prayer to pray over you, get away from the BAD crowd that live immoral lives purposely and enjoy it and places of SIN (***** club ect...) God will convict you and may allow it to go on for a season but you WILL come to a point if you persist in SIN when the Holy Spirit WILL SPEAK to you he WILL tell you TURN FROM YOUR SIN OR YOU WILL BE IN HELL PUNISHED!!! and Hebrews 10:29 AMP says How much worse punishment do you suppose he will be judged to deserve who has spurned and trampled underfoot the son of God and who has considered the convent blood by which he was consecrated common and unhallowed thus profaning it and insulting and outraging the Holy Spirit who imparts grace the unmerited favor and blessing of God. The reason why people insult the Holy Spirit is because they don't want to change their ways so the Holy Spirit warns them out of LOVE to STOP sinning because this is the Holy Spirits nature convicting us of SIN!!! Just as I typed above. This is why Galatians 5:19-20 AMP says Now the doings of the flesh are clear immorality, impurity ,indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, divisions, party spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing and the alike as I warn you beforehand just as I did previously that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Everybody makes mistakes but if you don't get back up then... And then last 1 Timothy 4:1 AMP But the holy spirit distinctly and expressively DECLARES in the latter times some will TURN AWAY from the FAITH giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that DEMONS TEACH!!! THIS IS HOW PEOPLE TURN AWAY FROM THE FAITH (BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY SPIRT THE ONE UNFORGIVABLE SIN) PEOPLE DO THIS BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THE FALSE TEACHING(DOCTRINES OF DEMONS) OF ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED!!! YOUR ONLY SAVED ONCE AND FOR ALL IF YOU KEEP THE FAITH. BECAUSE SATAN CONVINCES PEOPLE THEN THAT WELL IF YOUR SAVED THEN YOU CAN DO THIS AND THAT AND GOD WILL FORGIVE YOU. THIS IS WHY THE JOSEPH PRINCES AND THE JOEL OSTEENS ARE DANGEROUS AND MANY OTHERS!!! I PRAY BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THE LORD OUR GOD JESUS IN HIS NAME THAT YOU MAY BE CONVICTED AS YOU READ THIS AND SEE THE TRUTH OF THE SCRIPTURES!!! IF YOU NEED PRAYER SEND ME A MESSAGE I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE PEACE BE TO YOU MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST!!!

and again, In John 3:36
"He that believeth (G4100) on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth (G544) not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. " KJV

another translation problem, Greek word for the second word 'believeth' in this text is G544 ἀπειθέω, apeitheo, ap-i-theh'-o, From G545; to disbelieve (wilfully and perversely): - not believe, disobedient, obey not, unbelieving.

the best translation for the second 'believeth' should be diobedient

the first 'believeth' is exactly means 'believeth'.

G4100
πιστεύω
pisteuō
pist-yoo'-o
From G4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), that is, credit; by implication to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ): - believe (-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with.

I became a Christian as a teenager then become a sinner a big one as it goes ? I rededicated my life to Christ about 10 years ago does that mean I'm not saved. I'm so sad to read this article and response's. We are Christians ARE we not supposed to be the light of the world. I've considered all I have read and I know this! The holy spirit is in me and counsel's me along with Gods word. We should not be jealous of our brothers blessing's but rejoice, We are supposed to correct our brother, first to there face so in love I suggest the writer of this article get on a plane and go have a talk to Joseph Prince. If you really believe what your writing is the truth. As for me my heart and spirit tells me that Joseph is pretty close to the mark. For we have all FALLEN short of the glory of GOD!

Your heart and spirit become insignificant when compared to what the Bible teaches if you want to follow this man that is your choice.

In discussing Joseph Prince it is being said here that eternal security is a false doctrine. As everyone knows, this has been a hotly debated subject for a long time. Using scripture you can argue pro or con and many good people seeking the truth have done that. From a human perspective and understanding of scripture eternal security seems to fail (as some have argued here) and conditional security seems to be more correct. But let me at least try to give another perspective in which eternal security makes sense. Yes, there are many scriptures telling us to beware and if you do or do not do certain things you will not be saved. And this is necessary to let us know that we must not quit and must make sure we keep on striving to working out our salvation. But consider this, at the point when a person is asking Christ into their heart and asking for salvation, Christ is looking at their heart (as only he can do). If a person just makes a confession and repents of his sin and it is not coming from a heart that is contrite and wants to live for God, God is not going to give that person salvation. And, because of God’s omniscience, God already knows everything the person is going to do for the rest of his life. God knew us (true believers) and chose us before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-5). God already knows if this person will make a confession of faith one day, start down the road of faith, make a radical change, taste what it is like to live for God and then later turn his back on God. This is what some of the scriptures stated are talking about. But, by knowing the person’s heart, his desire to live a righteous life, and knowing that the person will in fact live a life for Christ, God can grant the person the gift of salvation, give him the Holy Spirit and eternal life. And this is eternal security for the “eternal believer”. And since God is God if He chooses to do this, He can. The Holy Spirit has the ability to keep a true believer from going crazy and attempting to commit spiritual suicide. And, I am not saying that you have lost free will. I am saying that a spiritually sane person will not go spiritually insane and attempt to commit spiritual suicide. But this is why we continue to pray and ask God to help us and keep us. We need to confirm our calling and election (ESV 2 Peter 1:3-11) or make our election “sure” (NKJV 2 Peter 1:10). “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). This scripture says “all unrighteousness”. Would denying Christ be a righteous act? No, of course not, so a true believer would not do this. And, if we have been cleansed from all unrighteousness, we have been justified and we have eternal life. We are justified by the blood of Christ. Our eternal life does not depend on how good we can be (if we are true believers and are saved), but on how good Christ was when He lived on earth and that has already been settled. He was perfect. This does not mean we are without responsibility. We are required to live a righteous life and we chose to become a slave to “obedience” (Romans 6:15-17). By being born again with the nature of Christ and having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit you will not want live a lifestyle of sin. The Bible says “he who has the son has life” and this life is eternal life (ESV 1 John 5:11-13). Notice that John used the past tense. He did not say that God will give us eternal life when we die. He says God “gave” us eternal life (past tense). As John is writing this he is saying he has already been given eternal life. When you are saved a rebirth has taken place and you are no longer under law. You have died to the law and are now under grace. You are free from the law of sin and death. That is why “there is no condemnation is Christ” (Romans 8:1-3). This is the doctrine of grace that the bible teaches. So, therefore at this point you have eternal life. Once you are saved you are no longer under the law. You have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20). The penalty for your sin has been paid. The old man is dead and a new one is born that is not under the law but under grace. The law was put in place until Christ would come and free us from it (Galatians 3:19). We are saved to a life of rightness. And the Holy Spirit is able to keep and help us when we sin again (which we all will). When Christ died on the cross, He died for all of our sins. Both past and future sins (because we are not perfect). The Christian life is a life in which we strive for righteousness because our Lord and savior is righteous and we love Him and want to please Him. We do not have to keep wandering if we are good enough and will lose our salvation. Jesus said to the Father “all that you have given me I will keep”. We are secure in the hand of Christ (John 10:28) and nothing can ever separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). So from a human perspective, you do not know whether a person that made a confession of faith and is currently living as a Christian is saved or not. We can only see the outside. And if that person turns from God we might say, see, there is no eternal security. He lost his faith. But did that person every really have saving faith? Again, God knows who the true believers are and He will not let you go. We are not like a 2 year old that is holding on to his father’s hand, gets tired and lets go, and gets lost. But our heavenly Father is holding on to our hand (He is the perfect Father) and will never let go of his children. If a Christian does sin he hurts his relationship with God. God loves us and may have to chastise us out of love because He knows what is best (just like a human father would). And you will have to deal with the earthly consequences of sin also.

In looking at the matter of predestination I would place the following verses for discussion.

Ephesians 1:11-13: (V.11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined (Greek proorizo) according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, (V.12) so that we should be to the praise of His glory, we who first trusted in Christ; in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; (V. 13) in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. [Emphasis Added]

These verses are often taken as a ‘proof text’ for Predestination. However a close reading shows exactly the opposite. Paul's words, read carefully, actually debunk Calvinism. Read verses 11 through 13 to catch the full import of what Paul is saying....

There is a distinct difference made between the ‘we’ of verse 11 and the ‘you’ of verse 13 (both in bold above). In fact, verses 3-12 speak of we and us before switching to the second person... you in verse 13.

It is largely assumed by most commentators that when Paul used the word we, he was referring to Christian converts in general. However the fact that he says we are the ones “who first trusted in Christ” makes it far more likely that he was speaking of the disciples and apostles. This is further exemplified in verse 13 where Paul switches to ‘you’ (the Ephesian Christians) and says AFTER they believed they were “sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise”.

Since God already foreknew what they would do, who could argue that the apostles and disciples were predestined to a large and crucial role in God's overall plan of salvation. Unquestionably the Jews as a nation were.
Too many times we are prone to takes verses of scripture and apply them universally when such is not the case, such as " we are ambassadors for Christ" the we Means Paul and Timothy only.

correct, not all have same faith, there are so many who are "whosoever". these whosoever faith is different from those who are predestined by God,, like Paul, or Peter, or John etc, etc.

Amen well said .

THAT'S IT

so why focus on the things you do not know (their faith)? what if Paul is talking about himself who is predestined and others who are predestined also? what if Paul is talking about predestined to be saved and not predestined to hell?

It is all about people losing the fear of God. That's when they only preach Grace and not repentance, that's when they have no sensitivity for sin or for what Christ actually did on the cross and that's when they forget that He actually came to set the captives free and not have them stay in bondage of sin. May The Lord help us all!

Re Barth02.
You took the opportunity to promoted another false teacher in your latest comment and I am not going to become an outreach for such action.
The grace changers cannot come to terms with the Biblical command to confess sin, and confuse confession with repentance purely to misrepresent the Biblical truth.

JP talks a lot about law and grace, performance and faith. We have a choice to stay in the vine of sin or in the vine of Christ. YOU ARE ALWAYS SOWING AND REAPING! The law makes us aware of sin and history has shown we are powerless to stop it; a whole ark full of unblemished lambs could be sacrificed would only prove that we would have to start filling another ark!
But the blood of the second Adam did as the first providing a covering through birth. The first: to have no choice but to be sin covered by birth, born in this world as a sinner. The second by choice to be born again into a new world, the kingdom of God blood covered. In this Kingdom our sin were passed onto the second Adam; Jesus, and his righteousness passed on to the believer. Yes, Barabbus believed he could walk with his head held up amongst the people. And you who believe in Gods presence.

If there is no law, there is no sin, if there is no sin, there is no need of grace, T D Jakes - so in the New Testament we have law, love The Lord your God, and love your neighbor, that's all folks, so in my opinion Joseph Prince, lovely guy but dead wrong, I agree with T D Jakes on this

The grace of God fulfilled the demands of the Law, you and i no longer living to fulfill the law but we dwell in the grace of God where the law has been fulfilled.. The spirit of God leads us into the holy way automatically without stretching a muscle; the grace it self teaches us to obey God and this happens automatically.. That's why God said i will write my laws into their hearts (not on stones again) meaning our hearts will be directed by God to obey him, No efforts applied, righteousness is free (Romans 3:23-25) because it is Jesus who did it all and he said it is Finished!!
sorry for my English,not good.

I wonder how many of you keep the commandments. God said if you love you will keep my commandments such as Sabbath witch starts Friday at sun down and end Saturday at sun down the Scripture tell us Jesus died the day before Sabbath and rose the day after and if you teach anything other than the truth you are a liar. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my father's commanments as I have. So how many of you truely love you father and our Lord Jesus?

Please explain the scripture .You are the righteousness of God thru Christ Jesus a

Anyone he seeks to build a doctrine on a single verse is headed for spiritual trouble, all verses need to be read in their own context, and then compared with the rest of the Bible, false teachers flourish because they preach to the Biblical illiterate and then tell them what they want to hear

Can't agree with you, the "born again" Christian is more aware of sin then anyone, and the indwelling Spirit of Jesus makes sure of this, there is no such thing as sinless perfection, the NT contains a full list of sins that will keep the individual out of His Kingdom, the list is not exhaustive, there is no excuse for any Christian to become a slave to sin.

Your profile discloses virtually nothing about yourself to allow anyone to gauge where you are placed as to Christianity, that being a fact I have no idea of how genuine you are with your questions, this article was not written by me, that should be obvious, the subject matter is JP, to allow the Bible to clarify sin is the best answer, 1 John 3: 4 thanks for taking time to comment.
