I LOVED this video!

It's so easy to be luke warm. Luke Warm doesn't take effort. But if we truly follow Christ, we WILL "do". . .because that is His way.

He forgave. . .so we must.

He was patient. . .so we must be.

He served others. . .so we must.

He did not simply pat people on the head and say, "I hear you, but you'll be fine, now on ya go."

No. He DID something. Action. Progress. Service. Love.

It is in this "doing" that we are "working". Without these "works", we are not truly His. But faith goes hand in hand with works.

James 2:14-26

King James Version (KJV)

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Christ paid the price for us that we could not, simply because He himself was sinless. He owed no debt. But he paid the price for OUR debt. . .the ONLY one who could. Because debt must be repaid - or rather Justice must be met . . now our debt is to Him. And THAT is His grace for us . . .Eternal Life. He gave it willingly and lovingly and selflessly. But what we CAN pay, or do. . .we must. And this is where works come in. They are just as essential as faith in Him.

There is NOTHING you can do to earn grace, as none of us deserve it or are worthy. There is NOTHING you can do to earn or inherit eternal life. Christ had to do it, He had to die on the cross. The only thing you have to do, need to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, confess and repent of your sins. That is the beauty of grace.

You just need to yield to Jesus. You need to give up on trying to do all you can do, and just let Jesus!

great loved it
