The absolute joy of seeing Bible prophecy fulfilled in the outpouring of the Gospel in the Apostolic record in the book of Acts surely is a blessed assurance.
When Jesus told the Disciples that the Temple was going to be destroyed He left them with the certainty that signs could happen to indicate that the destruction was near, rather than rely on secular history to verify that the signs came true let the Bible interpret itself.
Famines Pestilence and Earthquakes. Acts 11:28-29
And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great famine throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren who dwelt in Judea:
Persecution against the Disciples:
The book of Acts is a clear record as to how the disciples were beaten, jailed and killed.
The Gospel to be preached to the whole world.
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
