I Am A Member Of The Lds Church

I'm Mormon. A lot of people don't know what that means, and I've taken a lot of flak and hate for my religion. But instead of a long winded defense, or a venom filled attack, I offer an invitation. Want to know what Mormons are really like? go meet some. go to mormon.org, look up the churches in your area, meet with those friendly guys in the white shirts out on their bikes, the missionaries. Soon, I'll serve a mission, and I'm proud to go and serve not just people of my faith, but anyone who needs it. Peace, hope, charity, love, acceptance, and understanding. That is what the church is about.

If they're out on their bikes, does that mean they forget about the people who live out in the country-side? They could be a little bit more tenacious if they used cars. You can fit more of your brothers in one car and they could cover more territory.
Is a mission finished in two years? I wasn't even warmed up good in two years, it takes many years of practice to get good at handling the word of God aright. 2 Timothy 3 : 16 - tells us - All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight , for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." But when you have become equipped, wouldn't that make you more capable of witnesssing to others? Madres is teaching scouting in Colorado. I'd love to go to a tropical Paradise myself, but instead I get to go to OHSU to let a bunch of doctors look at me. But if they're the only ones who can diagnose my Td, then so be it, and maybe I'm going to help them understand what happened to me.
My 2nd son is also going there so they can study his Crohn's disease. They think there must be a genetic link. I think it began when he and his brother stepped on an ice build-up on an old bathtub we used to water our two head of beef. He slipped under the ice and swollowed some icky water before his brother pulled him out. Then they hid his wet clothes and didn't tell us what happened. Then he thought the change in his body was normal, and didn't tell us he was having problems. One pediatrician treated him for an ulcer. But he has tenacity. He's made a wonderful preacher, because he can relate to people who have health issues.
I recently stopped a young man passing near my car, and asked him if he read his Bible. He said he was now in Exodus. I asked him if he'd like to hear my favorite scripture in Exodus. I read Exodus 3: 15. Then he asked me to look up his favorite scripture. It was Romans 10 :10, and I asked him if he would read it to me. "For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation." He told me I had just made his day.

they use cars too :) we learn from the scriptures for our entire lives, and then go aas young men and women on missions. Its also popular for retired couples to serve as well. thank you for your inspiring words ^^

Hi there brother :) You need a revelation from The Holy spirit who lives with in us all all belivers who "have the holy spirit as Father/son/holy ghost "The Lord they God Is "one God and a tri une god (father/son/holy ghost) as the word says (hear oh isreal The Lord our god is one God. It says in deuteronomy. (amen) see brother flesh and blood do not enter into the kingdom of heaven becuse when jesus comes to rapture his bride (us his people) (we are changed from "a body of flesh to spirit/ within a twinkling of an eye as we are raptured up to heaven and enter into the kingdom" As the word clearly states That "flesh and blood" "dont enter into the kingdom" of heaven "as only "the spirit does. (the word is very clear about that.) all beleiver's that are "born again" and baptised By the holy spirit enter the kingdom of heaven. FLDS/Joseph smith/J ahovah witneses/ "none of these Religions "will enter into the kingdom of Jesus christ as their teachings " are "doctrine" and they are all "flesh" and "manmade doctrine Brother". (sorry) The only way to the kingdom of heaven is through Jesus christ and the Holy spirit as the word says that None comes to the kingdom of god except through Jesus christ. (amen) (see before jesus christ was "a man" and "born as the son of God" and "came to earth in "man form" He was "always" and "was there before things were created(it tells you this in the word also) (in the begining was the word (jesus) and the word was god, and the word was with god;and "he was" before all things were (everythinh time/space/begining/end?) and He became flesh and created all things; .As the world and all things were created by him and from him.(amen) and all things "existed before everything was created.) see The thing is Brother is jesus is a "supernatural God"; He "was" before all things" and "before "time" and "begining of time" (amen) He "moves" In the supernatural as he is a spirit. (the Holy spirit) (amen) This is the God you need to "learn about and Get to know is The Lord Jesus christ/ father/son/holy spirit. god bless

I have been baptized by immersion as Christ and recieved the gift of the holy ghost. That is absolutely one of the tenants of the gospel :)

I don't hate Mormons but I believe Joseph Smith was the scum of the earth. You like to talk about his death. If memory serves me rightly, he narrowly escaped an even earlier death at the hands of an angry husband or father.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Gal 1:7   Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Gal 1:8   But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Gal 1:9   As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.-------

You can follow Christ... or someone else. As for me, I choose Christ.

Iknow the scripture well, because we are taught, and we live the gospel. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's his church.

Correction, you live the mormon gospel.

I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Including loving my fellow man and not passing judgement.

Who is Jesus?

"Come on! ye prosecutors! ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! for I will come out on top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet...When they can get rid of me, the devil will also go." (History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 408, 409) [Whole sermon click here.]

- Joseph Smith: founder, prophet, seer, and revelator of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Your point? He's testifying of the goodness of the saints, and of their steadfastness in their trust in him, even after the mobs hunted and chased the people of the church from ohio to missouri to nauvoo. I know the histories of the church

That right there is a red flag. Put their trust in a man. God is a jealous God and willhave no others before Him.....that includes Smith.

Joseph Smith was a man. Not a God or a savior. He was a man called of God to restore the gospel in its fullness on the earth.

And God in the scripture gives us the test to prove one is such a man of God and Smith failed the test. Which God said made him a false prophet.

The last morman who came didn't convince us and you won't either.

It was completed on the cross, and Jesus didn't need help some 17 or 1800 years later. There was nothing left to add.

Amen Hebrews. It is finished. Faith in His finished works alone. He humble path.

It was an astonishingly impious utterance by a lecher who posed as God's prophet.

Being good or nice doesn't mean you are following a correct gospel.

And what is incorrect? I follow Christ's gospel.

No, you don't, not if you follow Smith's teachings. According to scripture, Smith didn't pass the test of a prophet. And the scripture call that a false prophet.

I see that you, like so many others don't know anything about the church. Joseph smith taught the teachings of Christ. He was a prophet and died by the hands of a bloodthirsty mob. I am a Christian.

how do you understand the Gospel? *not an attack, just an open question*

No Smith changrd and added to the teachings.

Jesus started the church, His church. So God is not going to instruct a man to go start their own church. Smith's teachings do not line up with the nature and the charcter of God.

It's not Joseph smiths church. We don't worship him. The only ones we worship are the Father and the Son

We believe that Christ died for our sins, and through that sacrifice, all mankind may be saved and return to live with our Heavenly Father who created us. We believe that the book of mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is affirms the teachings of the Bible. thank you for your honest question, and for not immediately jumping down my throat

Quote"The only ones we worship are the Father and the Son"

You left out 1.

And how did you get the book of mormon? From Smith, all which goes against the nature and charcter of God.

Yet you fail to mention the other things you teach which are not scriptually based.

Like Jesus is one of many sons, when scripture says He is the ONLY one.
Spirit mothers and children, baptizism for the dead.

You don't mention that stuff, cause you want to come under the disguise of following Jesus. You give just enoughof the right verbage to seem real, but just as Satan is a deceiver so are these teachings.

Jesus did it all,Jesus finished it, and He didn't need anyone else to write another testment for Him. He sent someone to come in His place to do that.

We don't worship the Holy ghost, we worship through him. Joseph Smith translated the book of mormon, he didn't write it. If you ever took the time to read it, you'd know that. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, but not of Mary, and his siblings are referred to in the King James bible. Baptism for the dead is also referred to in the bible (2Cor 15:29) And as for spiritual birth, I have no concept of it.

Joseph Smith was a wretch whose practice was to prophesy his way into numerous women's vaginas.

Hi there brother you need the holy spirt of Jesus christ. The Holy spirit of jesus christ lives in all us belivers "who are "born again". The word tells us that.
The problem that people have who dont have thew Holy spirit "is "its "man made doctrine".see brother The word of god tells us that "flesh and blood dont enter into the kingdom. "only the spirit" enters into the kingdom of heaven the holy spirit of jesus christ "shows us these things.
becuse when Jesus comes soon "to rapture his bride (us his children) "while we are being "raptured up" into heaven/ our bodys of "flesh" are "changed forever" from (mortality) (flesh) to imortality (spirit) (and spirit is eternal it never does.) thessalonins tells you this. G B U You need Jesus christ and The Holy spirit It is the only way into the kingdom Brother Gods word says this clearly "No man comes to the kingdom exept through me (The holy spirit/The Lord Jesus christ. G B U

Quote" Baptism for the dead is also referred to in the bible (2Cor 15:29)"

1 Cor. 15:29 baptized on behalf of the dead. Some interpreters through the centuries have thought this referred to vicarious baptism on behalf of deceased people, probably those who had believed in Christ but had not been baptized before they died (cf. Luke 23:43). But the interpretation is uncertain, and whatever the practice is, Paul reports it without necessarily approving it, and is clearly not commanding it. Baptism for the dead is an important part of Mormonism, but the Bible gives no support to the idea that anyone can be saved apart from personal faith in Christ (see notes on John 3:18; 14:6). Other interpreters argue that by “the dead” Paul means the bodies of living Christians, which are subject to death and decay: they are baptized “on behalf of their dying bodies,” showing hope that their bodies will rise again (see Rom. 8:23; 1 Cor. 15:42–44, 47–49, 53–54). On this view, Paul argues here that the baptism of perishing bodies is useless if the dead are not raised.

Y'all believe Jesus is the brother of Satan, not that He is the only son of the Father.

John 3:16 says the only, only means one. So either you believe that or you don't.

God doesn't change either. And according to Mormons, you teach one thing and then turn around and teach the opposite. if what Smith received was from God, Smith or others in the church wouldn't have to come back later and say something different.
