About Running The Race

God searches for people by what’s within their hearts. Jeremiah 17:10. And once He finds those with hearts that have His own character of love and care for others He will begin chastening you for His purposes. Hebrews 12:5-15

It’s very important that all who love our Lord with their hearts understand that there will always be a battle in life to fight with faith no matter how difficult things may become. And that is why Paul writes in verse 1 . . . let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us,

To lay aside means to take all of your heavy problems and sins too lay on our Lord Jesus Christ. That means the cares of this world, wealth and anything of life that robs your time from being devoted to only Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.  Understanding exactly what that race consists of with so many runners is very vital for your understanding to absorb because there be many in the race, but if their run is improper; it’s therefore in vain. The only way for a genuine and productive run that will bring your prize in the end is to always look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t look to Him as just the Christ of love, but the Christ that left us all with an example that we are to follow by duplication of His steps and ways. Not your ways or mans ways, or mans traditions that Christ had no part of; but only the exact ways of Christ can make you an overcomer as He overcame this world of flesh and sin with Satan as the god of. Just these last few sentences that you just read is part of what has deceived the world or vast majority of Christians and religious people because they all feel they can just do what they want even though our Lord Jesus who we are to look to for our lead never had any part in what most all do and take part in while justifying themselves in their own thoughts and words that can’t be found in the Bible when trying to prove all things.

James 1:29 says it very well with the words;

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

And where you said;

 He has poured out His Holy Spirit on your sons and daughters to enable them to prophecy He has caused men to dream dreams and with all scripture fulfilled

Those words of Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17 are yet prophecy to be fulfilled. Within this world today the majority of religious people are walking in blindness due their blind shepherds. The only ones that know truth are the few that are not of this world, not liked and not believed just as Christ said it would be. Our Lord even gives details that by choice people choose not to understand because through deception they feel they know all that is required. Want another verse about God’s Spirit in theses days ahead that are approaching?

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor of thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:

Amos 8:11

God just has told you all plain as day that right now you are hearing His words of truth, but the day is coming when you will find no words of His truth to hear as the great tribulation destroys your life. You best think and pray very hard for God to open your heart and mind to His truth while there is still time.

I like history too. We can all learn from the past to help us can improve our present and future. =)

1924, hmm, lets see..well Marlon Brando was born. There was the crime of the century in Chicago, Calvin Coolidge was president, Douglas Fairbanks made silent movies---I just like history because one can learn, think and see. <br />

Thanks Brieks

You are very welcome; and thank you.

Thank you

This reminds me of a hymn I know called "Run for the Prize," written by Mary M. Bodie and A. S. Copley in April of 1924.
