Underground Is The Worst

For me, claustrophobia has always been worse underground. It's the place where I seem to react to almost any hint of enclosure. I'm not really sure why. When I was 12, my parents took me to Mammoth caves. I don't actually remember a lot of what happened, but I remember my panic on going into the caves, and my relief on coming out. Above ground I'm only mildly claustrophobic. I notice the small spaces; I feel some discomfort. But unless things are really tight I'm fine. As soon as I go down, though, things get bad.

I could imagine how being underground can be very scary!
