Just For Today

i have been drinking and using for over half my life. i had given in to the idea that i was destined to die from my addictions. i had overdosed twice by the time i was 16 and had several family members die from alcoholisim so i just figuered i would to.  eventually i hit my bottom and lost evrything my home my family and friends and my freedom and almost my life again. after that i finaly said enough is enough i was tired of that life and wanted to live. i went to my first meeting not believing i could realy stop but willing to try anything. i did everythhing i was told and listened to what people had to share about how it worked for them. i did what they said and kept coming back and eventually started to believe i could change to. now after getting a sponser reading the books and working the steps i have no doubt i can do it to. i have learned to take my recovery as serious as i took my using.i will not let anyone or anything get in the way of my sobriety.  MY RECOVERY IS MY LIFE AFTER DEATH
