Curious About Polygamy

I'm a single mother who is estranged from my family and I have no real friends to speak of. I spend most of my days alone. After seeing a few documentaries on the FLDS I have become increasingly interested in the religion and it's teachings. The more research I undertake the more I desire it. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are any practising FLDS in my area so I would love to chat to others online who live according to the FLDS principles.

I'm a polygynist for the past 5 yrs. We r not FLDS. We r Hebrew Hispanics aka Sephardic/Spanish Jews. WWe live in California. Beyound us is Muslims, Native Americans and various asian groups all believe or practice polygyny. One man with multible woman/wives.

I think you should pursue any type of relationship that makes you happy. I also think you are free to choose your religion seperatey. Best wishes finding your path!

I've been thinking about polygamy too. There was a documentary about it not too long ago. I found it interesting but was not too sure about the religious side of it. I like god and everything, but they seemed a little extreme at times. I have the same problem you do though; there are not too many polygamists around where I live.

I BELIEVE IN POLYGAMY..IT'S JUST MAKE SENSE TO ME....I HAVE NO CHILDREN AND MY HUSBAND WANTS CHILDREN...I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A SISTER WIFE THAT WANTS TO HAVE KIDS...

Honestly... as a religion its old and archaic... and should be avoided like the plague.. however the idea of having multiple spouses, may be something to look at depending on the type of person you are.
Having more than one husband to rely on.. or maybe other wives that u can talk to and help you when u need it would be nice.
Potentially there are benefits to polygamy minus the religion. You don't need to change your religion to practice polygamy. Besides, those community polygamists are a lot of trouble and would probably put ur kids in danger.

How many husbands do you have?
