    February 4, 2112.

    Whistling in the wind.

I used to look forward to logging in on EP.

    Now, wow.

One message from EP about some "cause" I may want to chime in on. Mmmm, no thanks.

    Where did everybody go?

Three of my friends I met here are now chatting with me through my real email address.

They bugged out of EP for their own personal reasons, which I can see, now, are very good reasons, indeed.

I was going to join their ranks, but I'm sticking it out.

Oh, but they do! There's an underbelly of EP. "Mature". Something like that.

One of my stories got shunted over there by the administration, much to my chagrine.

I wrote a philosophical piece regarding androgyny. Why it ended up there amused and annoyed me.

I was in the muck of the genitally obsessed. WTF! Deleted story, took a shower, never went back.

You are one of my favorite people to communicate with.....I do think summer slows the traffic down & yes there are a few new jerks on here that are not interested in dynamic & interesting communication...please just look over them.....the pple that are here to hook up...well I think they should have a separate site like "EP for Love" or something...

I've shared the same thoughts about the dynamic on here angsty. I've now come to agree with those who say it's the seasonal effect.

I certainly hope so. I miss reading my tantalisingly interesting reminisences, and my inspirational poetry.

I wonder if any body else does:))

Yeah, it took a while for me to understand the dynamics of social networking (blech, what a phrase).

Well, you can't push the river. It flows by itself. Lovely, actually. Like watching a garden you've planted thrive in some areas, mope in others, or pick themselves up by the roots to go skittering off to another bed.

Could probably mean people are not on the net as much during the summer. As you know people like to get out in it and have a good time. Bet round the time winter rolls around they will be back.

Just everyone else said, it's all up to one's whim and what's going on in their world. We were meant to hook up here, come on now, it's a bit strange when a relative of someone I meet here, lives in my not very large city. Don't ya think? Besides, you're a space/universe junkie also. Take care until next weekend. By the way, my motto: I don't care what people say about me - as long as they're talking about me!

After I wrote that story, it bugged me so much I was compelled to pop into EP to see if it generated comments like "moper", "get over it, loser", "eff you, angsty".

Hey, I'm angsty. Didn't chose that username on a whim.

But when I saw your comments, my heart...oh, my heart...

    Thank you!

Don't feel bad. That is how a big majority are....the see your pictures....build their circle, and if you are not either stroking their ego and/or satisfying their sexual urges.....they are gone. That is why I am much more selective on who I add and keep my friends list manageable.

My suspicion is that there is a seasonal lessening of activity in the summer, as more 3-D stuff takes over.
