I wonder if you would like the woman I've become,
I wonder if you would like the man I chose to marry,
I wonder if you know the burden I carry,
I wonder if you know of the trials I have overcome,

I wonder if you truly loved me,
or the dna was all that tied us together,
I wonder if you would despise me now,
despite our gene tether.

I wonder if you can hear my thoughts,
I wonder if you're reading over my shoulder as I type,
All I know for certain is this,
I love you more than anyone alive in my life.

    I don't think the dead are as limited as the living. I think they can see the soul inside - and if that is the case she has no choice but to be proud.
