There Must Be More To Life

Hi, I am pkelley, I am 52 years old and am disabled by a genetic connective tissue that caused me to have over 40 joint surgeries, including hip and four knee replacements. I have trouble walking or standing, and I have had many years of chronic pain. On the good side, I am married to a good man and I  have two college aged sons. I have a bachelors degree and worked in the computer industry years ago. As the years pass, my disease, which is progressive, has gotten worse. I used to stay fairly busy with the kids, but they are both away now, and my husband is at work 12 hours a day, and I am especially housebound in the winter. I am trying very hard to find volunteer work that I can do from home with my computer, but I havent had any luck,
Almost all my friends are working now, and I am feeling my world shrink, which I hate. I do speak to a counselor once in awhile, and I put up a pretty good front, but I am feeling more isolated every day/ I know I have a lot of good in my world, but I need yo do something, I know there is some way I could help others, which has always made me feel better, so I remain hopeful!!
