are you deaf?

I wish I knew how to sign. I've never went to a school that taught it and I am terrible at trying to teach myself things haha (: Maybe I'll be able to take a course in college. My little cousin is deaf and I always feel terrible that I can't speak to her and that my aunt has to translate for us. My famiy says that I'm not around her enough for my learning to sign being a huge priority and she says it's not a big deal , but I don't know I guess it just is to me. I've always wanted to learn for me to. I'm deaf to lower tones in one ear and deaf to higher tones in one ear. So it's hard for me to undertand people , especially in situations where the is alot of background noise...annnd I can't read all.

when i attended the young voices global meeting at bangkok thailand on 10-17 march, then i realized that hearing impaired people is so amazing. i love sign language. i always wanna communicate with people with hearing impairments thats why im working so hard to learn sign language :)
