I Get It Now

Unless the $0.20 solution becomes my only viable option or I pull some random act of dumbness that results in a fatal injury...I'll live to see pretty much everyone I knew die.

I get it now.  Something someone said to me a two months before my 25th birthday when my buddy Nick was killed in a car accident.  "You're gonna lose a lot of people.  That's part of getting older."  Callous perhaps, but absolutely true.

Still, it would be nice to go 12 consecutive months in my life without someone dying.

That's a nice goal to have, but could be unrealistic. I just wish the people I knew would stop rubbing their engagements and newborns in my face.

Oh I unfriended a bunch of people from Facebook because I was tired of being inundated with pictures of other people's kids and new spouses every time I logged in. I know it's an unrealistic goal to have, hell it's straight up irrational (cos I can control who lives and who dies, obviously) but I was having an emo kid moment when I wrote this.

We are all entitled to those :)
