I Got Carried Away, I Admit It..

I got caught up in it, and it's SO against my nature to do that. I don't care anymore. I will not be drawn any longer into it. I will not be involved in anything anymore, even where my good reputation is compromised.

I received something that was sent to me in a private message. It really makes a lot of sense and I'd like to share it with all of you.

Everyone Can't Be in Your Front Row

Life is a theater - invite your audience carefully.

Not everyone is spiritually healthy and mature enough to have a front row seat in our lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you LET GO, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships/fellowships!

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to:

Which ones lift and which ones lean?

Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?

Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?

When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse?

Which ones always have DRAMA or don't really understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you?

When you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

You cannot change the people around you....but you can change the people you are around! Ask God for godly wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the front row of your life.

I read this quite awhile ago Princess but I copied the part "Everyone Can't Be in Your Front Row" and saved it in my email. I go back now and then and reread it. This is one of the best things I have ever read here on Ep. Just wanted to thank you again and let you know now that I found the actual post again I am going to recommend it to a friend in need. I hope you are well.

Nice....thank you for sharing

Ooooh, I really like this, Thank for sharing :)

Awesome
Just like you
Keep smiling !!!!

Love the poem, love the message. Drama is exhausting and unnecessary. I think it is very important to have good, honest, positive and encouraging people around us. Whether we are easily influenced or not, or whether we know it or not, we are influenced by what we are constantly exposed to. Best wishes!

Good stuff princess.

Drama stinks. I try to stay away from it too. If you get to close you get it on you.

Thanks for sharing. I agree.......

Thank you P M.Right advice timed right for me...i will heed it.

What great sharing ,i have the honor to set my eyes on and touch my heart with its contents.Thanks dear friends on EP,PrincessmMaine and Nimbus123.Blessings and Peace.

That makes a lot of sense, wish it could apply to real life.

classy is THE best compliment Andrew.....good for you....

Princess,I m sharing the poem with my friends too.. Thanx loads.

just recently applied this in my life after a failed surgery left me in pain and i realized who my true "loves" are....most people can't deal and don't have the true understanding of empathy. BEWARE of those that put their own shortcomings, or agenda on your or your life or your problems, all anyone that truly appreciates and KNOWS the value of your soul will be uplifiting, kind, but a realists to keep you humble but will do nothing in the end but say the oh so powerful words "how can I help you".

That is well said...and The Desiderata is a poem I totally forgot about...I used to have it fr<x>amed in my room when I was a teenager. Thanks for your words of wisdom...

well said.

thank you so much for sharing this! i have been doing some reseating in my own "theater" lately. i think we all need to step back and rearrange things from time to time, especially where drama-carriers are concerned! :)

Work hard to be observant be quick to make life work Peer Pressure is what makes it all easier be alright with taking your time to get it right And what felt like pressure will become a guard because every corner has a new scenerio

Thanks for that! I loved it, it really made me feel a bit better and let me put things in perspective.

Wow all of these comments really speak to me and where I am at in my life. Thank you all so much! I had almost logged out and saw this story. I really needed this today! I am inspired!

Way to go PM!! Once again, you have proven to be an intelligent, straightforward, considerate person. Not that this is a surprise to any of us, but it's always refreshing to read your well-considered words. You are indeed a lady in the true meaning of the word, and I have the utmost respect for you. ;-D

Wonderful Story

thank you for posting that! great words! I need that for my personal life- everyone on EP so far has been wonderful and supportive.

What's wonderful is you decided to learn from it, Princess. People will soon see who's the bigger person; throwing oneself into the fight and mess is only a time waster. Kudos!

Wow! This totally fits with a situation I'm dealing with right now, so much it's almost scary! These are truly words to live by!

Kind and timely words. Similar to..........

The Desiderata.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Will you come back and play now? :)

Great advice!

Good For you. A Lady ALWAYS takes the high road !!
