I Am Easily Amused
My husband travels abroad a great deal. I'm his official valet, maid, porter and wife. Everyone tells me I spoil him. I guess I do but what others do not know, I am also strict with him.
Every morning, I get ready his clothes and put them on the bed for him to wear to work. I make his breakfast and pack his lunch box. If he goes on his business trips, I pack his entire suitcase and hand it to him at the door when he is ready to leave.
I do it because I want to not because I have to;)
A few years ago, I was in the shower when he rushed into the bedroom to say goodbye. The taxi was already waiting to take him to the airport. Once again, I reminded him not to forget his passport, foreign currencies etc.
The usual.
He grumbled and told me not to treat him like a child. While shampooing my hair, I apologised, said my farewell and blew him a kiss. He left with a hurried goodbye.
I finished bathing and went into the bedroom.
I gasped and I shook my head smiling.
I sat on the bed, waiting.
The phone rang twenty minutes later.
My husband said ' hello, honey. Remember this morning when I said not to treat me like a child. I really didn't mean it'.
I said 'aha'
My husband continued 'I hope you are in a good mood and very forgiving'.
I replied 'aha'
Then he sheepishly said ' I have my passport. I have my foreign currencies....."
I said 'yes?"
He then said " I forgot my suitcase"
LOL
I sternly told him 'honey, I won't treat you like a child. Why don't you come back for it'
LOL
He missed his flight
