The Tunnel Pratt

After months of scheming and planning I decided to tunnel my way out of England.

After two days of digging I was no further than my garden gate.

After two months of digging the roof rafters were packed with soil to breaking point and rooms almost filled near to ceiling height.

After for months of digging the roof caved in and the house walls burst at their seams.

Finally in the fifth month, success was a final spade away.

I broke through that final earth barrier with tears of joy in my eyes.

I look in shock and aghast .. only to find the start of my own tunnel.
