I see you wish you could fly away... But more easily, you could cycle to Ironbridge, through the countryside, and take a friend. You could stay here

Or at the youth hostel. (I haven't tested this lot myself, just got tempted to look on Google. It directs you mostly along the canal towpath and says it takes 2 hours to cycle. )

So have you been to The Malthouse, then?

I've only just noticed your Q sorry ... Yeah, I've been to the Malthouse on many occasions. My friends play in bands so been to see them there. The food is great too. Love sitting outside on a hot sunny day and taking it all in, then to The Swan and back up the street. There's plenty of boozers, all with their own unique character so an afternoon strolling around with good company is fun!!

How did Wolverhampton get it's name, I wonder. Thanks for sharing.

Wolverhampton takes its name from a monastry established by Lady Wulfruna in 985 AD and means 'the high town or town on the hill'. and no problem
