I Am Extremely Frustrated
I know we all get frustrated with life and ourselves in general time to time. As most of you know I deal with some serious chronic health conditions. Most of the time I don't let them control me or bring me down but sometimes I get very frustrated with my limitations. I love exercising and would love to do it 5 days a week. I used to be an active Gym member before I got sick almost 6 years ago. I am no wimp who gives up being active because of a little pain. I push through many of my debilitating symptoms every day to live a relatively normal life not just for me but for my family. I am talking about dizziness or pain that knocks me on my ***.
However, it seems that whenever I get on relatively normal (normal for me anyways lol) exercise routine something always interrupts it. I am talking about accidentally injuring myself, my symptoms flare or I get sick. I get so frustrated because I want to get and stay in shape especially since both of my parents died of heart attacks.
I have learned that Lyme Disease and Hypothyroidism in particular can make it extremely hard to lose weight. I have myself on a restricted calorie meal plan. Most people would lose weight just from that. Not me. It seems to be 100x harder for me to lose weight. Even my Lyme doctor said my metabolism is somewhat at a standstill. I know I am NOT the only person struggling with this.
I vary the exercises I do because I get bored easily. One of my favorite to do is workouts by Crunch Gym (on DVD). They are cardio dance workouts that include the core strengthening from Pilates. I also love to go for walks, Yoga ball workouts, treadmill, basketball, weights, and many other workouts.
I just needed to vent. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
