All Feels Lost In A Matter Of Minutes...

I was a loyal w2 employee, saving the maximum I could every paycheck, and bend over backwards for the companies I worked for. I think if I added all the extra hours I spent in the office, it might equate to only $15 or $20 per hour. After working for 20 years, I got laid off, and in the span of 2 years I've lost everything. No savings, and a huge pile of debt. I almost don't even know what hit me.

Now, I have to file bankruptcy, something I always thought was for other "irresponsible" people. I have 2 kids and a wife to support, and life has never looked more dark. The cruncher was today my tax accountant unexpectedly told me I owe another $9k in taxes because of some accounting mistakes I made last year. ouch.

I'm hoping I can make it through this ordeal...
