I Am Fascinated By Highland Dancing

Missed Out On This

I took modern dance in school but never got the opportunity to engage in this type of dance. The closest i probably got was the American Square Dance. I am of Celtic Descent on both sides of my family, Charlton on my father's side and William on my mother's. I know i would have enjoyed it though.

    Yes i think you would have enjoyed Highland dancing as I did when I was a boy and also in later years Scottish country dancing.

    I had the wonderful opportunity to operate an historical Scottish re-enactment performance troupe where our kids, both genders recreate scenes from the history of Scotland (17th and 18th centuries), and thus participated at many many highland games and Celtic events throughout 6 US states and Ontario Canada. Love highland Dancing.

    Highland Dancing is a great pastime and is still very popular in Scotland, Canada and Australia.

      I was a Highland dancer until I was about 25, I always dressed well in a Guthrie Tartan Kilt and nice silky knickers and a matching camisole.
