I wonder what it would feel like to be a serial killer - having no compassion, no empathy, just the urge to kill. It excites me and scared me at the same time

being a serial killer means one thing "a person who murders three or more people over a period of more than 30 days, with a "cooling off" period between each murder, and whose motivation for killing is largely based on psychological gratification." not necessarily lacking compassion or empathy at all, but I do agree I would like to find out how it feels.

Not all serial killers are psychopaths.

And, as odd and macabre as it sounds; this morbid fascination is natural, it is normal to have a curiosity to know how people with much different mindsets work from you. The peculiar complexity of the human mind is enthralling yet revolting at the same time. Really, these feelings are very much rooted in our base desires and impulses.

Now if you're constantly looking at photos of dead people and fantasizing about killing random people and dreaming about it that's a problem.

Lol yeah I would agree that would be a problem. I have a question if you don't mind: do you think that serial killers are a part of nature or just some freak accident? Because it seems like we can't stop serial killers from being born

I believe that in every community nature has made it out that there are preys and predators. As primitive and animalistic as it sounds, lest not forget humans have many intrinsic desires that can be trigged, born with it since childhood, or repressed depending on the individual.

So do you think it's wrong to say that serial killers are messed up in the head for having something, as your implying, that they could be born with?

Psychopaths are proven to be more connected to their Reptilian brain (it is related to the base desire, primitive instincts I mentioned in the previous comment) that every human has. Their brains do not function correctly so they are more connected to the subconscious that society represses and what humans restrict because of our conscience and higher emotional responses. They ARE "messed up in the head" technically.

As I think about this deeper.. maybe humans are also fascinated by it because they represent this pure, unadulterated form of their primitive subconscious divorced from any emotion and moral sense.

Ok did you type it in yet on the search bar?

I often wonder what it's like too. I thought I was the only one haha

Lol I'm going to say the same thing as the other person who said that: now you know you're not

I agree 100% and I get scared for myself when I think that because I wonder if I'm alone when I imagine that.

Well now you know you're not :)

I would tell you :) but then I would have to kill you lol
