The Last Supper

The first time I saw sand sculpture on any grand scale was in the Camargue region in the South of France in around 2001.  I was fascinated by it.  The amount of work that was put into something which is temporary was quite astounding.  I remember one piece in particular which was "The Last Supper" and was obviously the famous scene from the painting of the same name by Da Vinci.  All the figures were there, greater than life size and with all the detail.  An incredible piece of work.
