eing in high school is hard enough, but when you feel unhappy most of the time makes practically unbearable.
I've always been wary of people - ever since I was nine years old. I had been a very fat child and everyday I was ridiculed because of it. Now that I'm sixteen I hold onto the paranoia that everybody is laughing at me behind my back. I try my best to put a smile on my face and brave the hell that is high school, but sometimes it just gets the best of me.
It is the smallest things that can break my day - when I smile at a friend in the hallway and they don't smile back, when someone becomes angry with me, when I realize that I was left out of something. Then there are the things like the fact I don't have a clique to fall back on when times are rough.
I see people who are laughing and smiling all the time and I feel horrible because I resent them for being happy.

  | Posted Nov 8th, 2009 at 10:55AM listen up, put your head up and walk down that corridor with pride. Even if you feel weak, confidence is a magnet for EVERYBODY. The more confident you seem the more you atrract people to you, just dont let it go to your head and enjoy it, eventually you will become genuinly confident. Spending time on your computer ruminating about your problems will only make you feel depressed and more anxious. Read Eckhart Tolle's stuff-better yet, just get them on CD, and listen to what he says about the ego. |
