my hubby started taking T about a year ago...his voice did start cracking about a month or two in...one year later...no sideburns really but a mustache and small beard...emotionally this last year has been a roller coaster but we were warned and told it was to be expected...that said its not anything one can really be prepared for...he always looked boyish but now looks very male...my advice is just see how u react to it...and remember that u are going through menapause and puberty all at once and well people struggle only going through one or the other, so hold on until it evens out and you get a handle on it, it may be a bumpy ride, BUT you can and will get a grip on it...good luck and blessed be, you are brave for taking steps to become who you were meant to be

I am a pre-medical student and an f2m and I have not experienced T but I have done quite a bit of research on the effects of testosterone. I do take a small dosage of DHEA (an androgen or a male associated hormone) and it has made voice stretching a bit easier and I have noticed some mental changes. I have heard of some guys whose voices crack and deepen after a month and some that take as long as a year. As far as facial hair, sideburns grow in first, and mustache last. Hair starts growing in about 3-6 months. If you get impatient try looking for DHEA cream and put it on your face where you want facial hair and NOWHERE ELSE. DHEA is the hormone responsible for turning peach fuzz in to a beard.

If you have any other specific questions I would be happy to answer them :D.
