Yes, go seek a lawyer , to hell with his studio the kid is more important and if he works that much he don't have time to take care of him, I work night shifts in hospital too, I know it can be hard, but pays ok, and then u Will have time for your kid too. Good luck

I think you'll be fine, talk to your lawyer, document everything and insist to your lawyer what you "NEED". let your lawyer deal with it, Emotions will cloud yor judgement.

were you told by a licensed attorney? if not then it doesn't matter. In Texas the judges HATE all fathers but I spoke with an attorney and he confirmed that the father almost NEVER wins custody. But at least I know that for a fact now instead of just hearing it from the internet, etc.

You need to seek legal advice from some in your area. Laws vary all over the world and even county to county.

    Contact an attorney. Today.

I contacted 2 lawyers and they say the same thing- He would have to pay support, and half house but our house wouldnt sell in this market. Its only 900 sqaure feet. Hwever my husband owes only 140,000 on it with his 10,000 equity loan he used to buy out his last girlfriend. (Red flag, I know,) Our realtor assessed it at 170,000 or so so I would get half that difference. I just want enough for a little downpayment for a little condo or townhouse with a yard for my son and near a good school. In a safe neighborhood. Our current neghborhood is sketchty in an inner city and not where I want to live alone with my son. I want to move into the next town in a more suburban environment.
I couldnt maintan our house we live in now its a handyman special and my husband and i rehabbed some of it but its not done. Still has lead paint on the out side , crappy roof etc....
