The Most Beautiful Thing I Have Ever Seen.

I have seen many beautiful things in the three decades I have been alive. I have seen the Ozark Mountains in the fall, when the trees have changed colors that we don't even have names for.
I have seen the Golden Gate Bridge and thought it looks more orange than red in person.
I have seen the ocean and looked out and felt so small.
I have seen the Rocky Mountains when I stand at the base of them and it feels like I can touch them, yet they are still so far away.
I have seen a 10 year old girl cheat death and yet make it through two neurosurgeries and realize she is not going to die.
I have seen my daughter be born.

But the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life is for four years coming home and seeing my wife and daughter laugh and play together. I saw God in that, being able to see MY family laughing and loving under my roof. Now that will be no more once the divorce is final in two weeks.
But if I had to do it all over again, I would, because the four years I was blessed to see that will forever be in my mind. The sadness and grief will fade with time. But this memory will never.

That is something that they'll never be able to take away from us. Our memories. We'll create more too. Hang in there.
