What Is Worth Fighting For?

I just had a testy little conversation with the second oldest friend I have. I have known her since 1978' and dated her for 5 years. I still love that woman! She told, no DEMANDED, that I fight for my children. That I need to be their Father.
I love my children, but how much can I do about this situation? How much of my life do I sacrifice for them? I really want some happiness, does that mean my personal life is over?
What should I be feeling right now?

    I think every man/every woman should fight for their kids... They are the only people in this world I don't want to screw up- they need their dad, they need their mom... it's that simple. How you go about together or apart is key. Kids grow up... eventually- but you can still have both worlds (I would like to think so)... or not?!
