Attorney's... Can't Live With 'em... Yeah, Can't Live With Em

Okay, get this....
Are you ready?
This is soooo good.
You may wanna sit down for this.
Last week I just paid my attorney another very large amount for his work. Yeah, he works hard, shuffeling through papers, going up to the courthouse to chit chat and ignore my messages for a week at a time. He's supposed to be good so I put up with it.
Just this last thurdsay I spent three hours in his office discussing our strategy for the custody and divorce. Yeah, I thought, I was gold. Today!!!!! Just today, I stopped to check the mail on the way to the park and what do my eyes behold, a letter from my attorney.
OH Joy!!! I thought. Must be good news.
Dear C - I will no longer be practicing law. I'm sorry. The end.
Wha... Wha.... WHAT!!!???? Wait just a min....... HOLD the phone.... Stop the presses. Let me read this again. I think I misunderstood.
Dear C - I will no longer be practicing law. yadda yadda yadda .... so sorry.
*long sigh.... maybe, just maybe I should leave this be and sign the damn papers.
There's stuff that rubs me the wrong way but... d amn ... just... d amn...

The words "Lawyer" and "Refund" are most often mutually exclusive, but I would write a letter of complaint to the state bar as well as the AG in your state, see what happens. I have had great luck with AG consumer complaints!!!! If your lawyers decision was brought on by misconduct in another case, you will get your refund!

I HATE YOUR (EX?) ATTORNEY'S GUTS!

You're Awesome!

Just wouldn't be right otherwise.

So were there any recommendations? Or are you going to have to search this all over again. I just hate the one step forward two steps back routine.

You should request a full refund! And if he doesn't maybe file a complaint with the state bar association. Doubt it would do much good but it might help you feel better.
It's times like this that my Mom's saying applies - "Life is not fair. But, it goes on."

Take Care and make the best.

My prayers are with you.

wow! bless your heart!
