When the Emotions Die Down...

My situation may be a little different than most this separation is by no means a surprise. It had a twin about a year ago. Also the marriage has been on life support for more years than I can remember. It almost feels humane to put it to sleep. Hence I have had a long time to deal with the emotions, and now am comfortable with the fact I have no feelings toward my soon to be ex. Love is gone, dislike had its day and bitterness died of old age. When all feelings are gone you become bad roommates who won’t to let the other grow. There is no point putting on a good front for friends and family, the stress and tension will shorten your life. Rather than replaying what happen last year or in 2002, I can focus on 2008 and beyond. Somewhere I can here Gladys Knight saying “… farewell my (former) love good bye”
