I Am Going To Be A Military Girlfriend

My boyfriend is literally the most wonderful man I have ever met. You hear people say that a lot. But he is, he would do anything for anyone and the love I feel for him overwhelms me. He has wanted to join the armed forces for a long time and this January he decided he was going to do it, he's passed his BARB test with flying colours and he has his fitness test in a few days which he will pass. He'll then go into his basic training, and I'm going to miss him so much. We've spoken about what will happen when he goes into the army and he wants us to stay together which of course I'm so happy about - it's not waiting for him that's concerning me at the moment - it's simply the worry. I worry everyday if he'll be ok, what will happen over the next few years he is in the army, what will happen with us. I just don't know what to expect, I've read a lot about other people's experiences from girlfriends/wives/other family members and experience from the troops. I just don't know what to expect really and neither does he. I just wondered if anyone could shed some light? I don't know anyone with an army boyfriend/husband so I'm struggling for the support and information I need.
