At Least Once a Day/ But the Worst Was

I was working in a Nursing Home when I was 15. I had to be at work at 5am. I had to wake up Daddy to take me. He decided that he didn't want to get up. Told me to wake my sister and have her to take me. She didn't want to drive me to work either.
I had what I thought was a bright Idea at the time. The keys where on the table. I will drive myself to work.
It would not have been so bad. but the Truck that Daddy had at the time was a 54 Chevy. NO POWER Stiring at all.. I had a hell of a time getting it out of the drive way. But I was determined. I got only a couple blocks away before I wound up in a ditch. There was no way I was going to go get Daddy and tell him what I had done. He'd beat the daylights out of me. So I tried, to get out by myself. I even flagged another car down to get help.
While my and this guy was trying to get the truck out of the ditch . Here comes Daddy.(somebody that knew my Daddy had driven by and went and told him.) Daddy was not happy. We got the truck out of the ditch , he took me on to work, I did get into trouble for taking his truck without asking.  I learned a lesson from that Stupid thing.
Lesson is... Now that I'm a mother, KEEP MY KEYS HID. lol

You weren't stupid for trying to get to work. Your family is. Remember: you came out ok.
