Elementry Sweethearts

My boyfriend and I met when we were seven in Sunday school. We liked each other back then (he was my valentine when I was 11) We dated other people until we were 16, but during that time we continued to attend the same church and were friends. We have always been insanely attracted to one another and our love has grown so much that I have no doubt he is the one for me. We plan on getting married within a year or so. We have been though everything together and we care about each other on a level I cannot describe. Some of my family thinks I am getting married to young and I'm sick of hearing about it. His family is all for it.

Thank you, that is awesome about you and your husband and I'm glad that you guys are making it work, I don't think nationality has anything to do with it. Everyone hated my mom and step dad getting married because she is white and he is African American and they are happier than ever after 10 years.<br />

Autimom, thank you for your opinion also, but I do not share it. I know who I am and I have lived more life than most my age. He has been the one who went through it all with me and I trust him with my life for life.

Best of luck to you, but I have to agree that I don't think anyone should pick a life partner at your age. As women we change so much as far as what we want and need, and who we are as we get older. I'm not saying you have any less chance of a successful marriage as anyone else (half of all marriages end in divorce, many others stay miserably married) but I don't think teenagers need to be getting hitched. What is the rush?

Thats just it. Follow your heart and they will learn to adapt. Everyone said my husband and I could never make things work because I am American and hes Britisha nd were stronger than ever adn very happily married.x
