'old' Ep Vs New

For quite some time now, I'm sure you've born witness to people talking about the grandness and majesty of the old EP. Now make no mistake about it, I wasn't here when EP started. The Guild and EP had yet to see their paths intersect but I can say as the IMBS that EP wasn't paradise three years ago. That's an illusion a lot of people on here would like you to believe. You'll always have people leaving EP for no shortage of reasons. Some will claim it is the changing of the site, others will lay the blame for that at the feet of someone else. I know because I dotted all my i's and crossed all my t's once on here: befriended the EP Royals, had a place in the court and a seemingly awesome social life. That derailed pretty quick when the so-called 'legends' of EP showed increasingly less legendary sides of themselves. They'd attack and argue with me over the tiniest of issues that led to showdowns. Another aspect of OLD EP that isn't tackled is the volume of EP mafia members. You know the type: super loyal and always looking to fight to prove their friendship is the most pure out of anyone else's as opposed to simply proving that through more quiet means.

Through endless crisscrossed loyalties and feuds, the 'old' EP went down in flames with no-one wanting to bear sole or even partial responsibility. As they say time and time again: those who forget their past are doomed to repeat it or want to repeat it. Then began a steady trickle of pollution into once pristine waters from pedophiles to sickos who wanted chug feces to being gangraped or molesting their dogs. It was the price that was paid in full by people who somehow failed to notice that EP's community was coming increasingly under siege with the individual mindset of defending your own circle and turf largely to blame. Is EP underwater? Are we too in a drought of sorts brought on by a lack of quality in human nature rather than mother nature to blame? I don't know, I couldn't begin to process the data on that. All I could possibly tell you is that to find someone of serious depth on EP is a challenge and one you must either embrace completely or reject entirely. I'm not pining for the old EP, I'm running my yard in the new.
